2 reviews for Kona Brewing- Honolulu Airport
| PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | October 16, 2009 Stopped by here on my way home from vacation in Oct ’09. Nice surroundings, not your typical airport bar. Had three of their beers on tap (only place I had seen Big Wave) and also a few AB products I believe. Also had a full stocked bar and wine. Typical airport restaurant food - had the au jus beef sandwich, supposedly made with their porter - not bad at all. a bit pricey - two beers, sandwich and a tip set me back $38 - but this is Hawaii and it is an airport - so not unexpected. Worth a stop if at HNL. Oh - unlike a lot of the rest of the airport - it is air conditioned! | | miketd (36), Cleveland, Ohio | | January 22, 2009 Stopped here on my way to the Philippines. Wondered if I should add this or not, but considering how few airports have decent bars, it seems appropriate. They had six Kona brews an tap and two BMC taps. Four of the Kona beers were standard and two were seasonal...Pipeline Porter and the Wheat. Food was good and the service prompt. Honestly this place was pretty good and the ambiance was nice. I sure was glad to find this and spend considerable layovers here coming and going. |
