6 reviews for Lillehammer Bryggeri
| Kestral (20), Oslo, Norway | | September 6, 2009 Located just one block away from the main street in Lillehammer, this brewpub is still quite hidden. Entering the hallway leading down to the pub, you are met with pictures of nature surrounding the city. Inside, the pub is placed in the cellars of the old Lillehammer brewery that got closed down in 1983. Filled with objects and images from Lillehammers history, this pub honours it’s town and it’s inhabitants. Behind the counter, you see the polished brewery in all it’s glory. Overall, it’s a cozy place, and a great place to have a pint or two of each of their 5 own excellent beers on tap. I didn’t have the food, so I can’t really comment on that, but it looked nice on the menu. If you let the staff know you’re a beer enthusiast, you should receive great service. At least we did. The manager opened the pub for us a good 3 hours before it normally opens, and gave us a tour of the place. With their patio being built, this brewpub will have a great place to have a beer in the sun during summer, with the huge old brewkettles from the old Lillehammer bryggeri as protection from rain. Will definitely come back. | | Rune (91), Tromsø, Norway | | March 10, 2009 Nice place with three of their own beers (pils, amber ale and stout) on the menu when we visit the brewpub on a Friday eve early in February. The beer was found in excellent shape and served at the right drinking temperature. Homemade and beer-friendly food for a reasonably price - I had a delicious dish called Moose in Bayer. Our company had the pleasure of enjoying the food, the beers and the friendly service for a couple of hours. The pub will expand their range of brews in due course and will start to bottle some of the ales. For the time being, Lillehammer Bryggeri makes one of the best pilsener in Norway (06.02.2009). | | KnutAlbert (150), Oslo, Norway | | April 22, 2008 Charming place, part brewpub, part museum. The beer was surpisely werry good! I come back soon! | | yngwie (82), Kristiansand, Norway | | March 16, 2008 [ Updated May 11, 2008 ] In the old lagering cellars of for 20-something years defunct Lillehammer Bryggeri, the new Lillehammer Bryggeri has installed it’s brewery and serving area. It’s quite rustic with it’s vaulted roof, long tables and benches. The beers was a really pleasant surprise, and the staff were welcoming and friendly, asking our questions and telling stories. Didn’t try their food, as time was limited. I’ll be back! | | larsga (108), Oslo, Norway | | February 18, 2008 Brewpub started in the basement of a historical brewery. Rustic style with wooden chairs and tables, plus local historical items. Music is quiet, mostly classic country stuff. Staff were entusiastic and knowledgeable, very happy to talk about their brewery and beers. The food they serve is continental beer-related things, but locally produced. The beers are good, too. |
