I went to this place on the recommendation of a few people. Its ambiance is terrible, yes, but the selection does rival most places in Tampa. Damn near every Bell’s, Smutty, Tommy, Belgian, and German beer available in Tampa. Nothing crazy rare, but any and all of the regular stuff is there and pretty damn cheap. The lady who does the beer was there and she knew her stuff and could talk beer for a while. The service was excellent. If you have time to browse, then this is an awesome find!

I was randomly driving around Tampa, trying to go to Winn-Dixie, actually, and we stumble upon this place. It wasn’t great, but I was pleasantly surprised, honestly.

The ambiance was... well... pretty terrible. It’s a hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall type scenario and it’s super small and shady.

The service was a big meh. The cashier was really fun and nice, but there was no help while looking at all.

The selection was SURPRISING. I was absolutely shocked at what they had. Now, this is no nice big Sams Wine & Spirits or anything like that, but I was shocked at some of the imports, Belgians, and crafts they had.

The value was surprising as well. Everything was about average, except that we bought liquor as well, and since we had student IDs, we got a nice discount on the liquor... can’t argue with that.

Overall, stop on by if you have a minute or what to save a couple bucks on liquor with your student ID - otherwise, stick to the nice big beer stores!

Stopped by here after hitting an ABC liquors and I wish I had stopped before. The prices on most the beer I had just purchased was less. The staff is very friendly and looked in the back for some broken sixers, other than that most the bottles must be bought in 4 and 6 packs. Seclection was pretty good otherwise. I will most likely hit this place up one more time before I head back to Italy!

Visited in December, 2008. I have driven by this place 100s of times and never stopped in. Glad that I did this time on the advice of someone in my tasting group. Lots of excellent beer to choose from here including regional and national craft beers as well as a good selection of the mainstays of the Belgian and English brewing world. Prices seemed about average for the area but some beers were marked a bit lower than I have seen. Noticed some bottles of Terrapin Side Project 2 on the shelf as well as the latest Wake and Bake release. So, definitely worth a visit when in the area.

It’s a liquor store next to Winn Dixie. The craft beers are in the back, with a bunch of sixers of Americans on the left and a fridge full of a few good Belgians and other Americans. There’s also a couple of big bottles mixed in with the hard liquor, so keep an eye open for ’em. Selection is about as good as you’ll find in a local liquor store. And prices weren’t bad, either. Bought a He’Brew 11 for $4.50...pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but if you live close by and want to take home a few good sixers at a good price, this is a decent place.

I must admit I was surprised to see how much good stuff this guy has. There is nothing out of the ordinary mind you but if you are looking to stock up on all kinds of beer and liquor, this is your place. There is every major American micro brew (is that an oxymoron?) plus many macros (import and domestic). The owner has a unique sense of humor. No need to go out of your way to visit but if your near USF and you need a good beer, then stop by.

Near complete selection of the Rogue line, plus some other gems set in a typical hole in the wall liquor store. Nicely priced and friendly folks! Older British gentleman working the register -obviously in pain from a broken arm- cheerfully responds to a customer: "Drinking arm still works!"

You’d think it was an average crappy liquor store when you walk in. But there’s a not half-bad selection of bottles in the back, featuring Rogue, Avery, and as aforementioned a lot of Polish brews. Not great, but deserves credit.

Mostly a liquor store that’s open till 3am 7 days a week. Not a big selection at all just one shelf with mostly six packs, Rogue, Great Divide and Avery Bombers, liked that they had a lot of Polish beers. It would be a place to go to once in a while as there selection probably doesn’t change much, but the prices are cheap and they have some goodies, warm or some in a little tiny cooler.

Basically a liquor store but they have a small shelf of excellent beers and a small cooler with more craft beers. Lots of Avery, DFH, Shipyard, Rogue and Polish/Russian products as well as others. Prices are pretty good and the staff was very courteous.
