November 19, 2009 Typical Beer Woks set up. Huge bar with a franchise Atmosphere, lots of steel, stainless, everything is just too clean. Large selection, there was 14 housebrews on tap when I was there. Beer Works makes ok beer. The beers are well brewed but most of them tend to be on the sweet and/or bland side of things. But there always have one or two that are pretty nice. America loves sweet. I didn’t eat there but you can expect the typical Beer Works pub fare menu. Crowd is families, older lonely dudes watching the game, gang of younger dudes partying, just about anybody. Lowell locals seem friendly, we actually made friends with a few local beer passionate. Not worth a detour but if you happen to be in Lowell the large tap selection will keep you coming back. |
October 9, 2009 I like this place. It’s part of the beer works chain based out of Boston. Has a nice selection of home brews. At night time this place turns into a night club that’s a little bit more upscale for the Lowell area. It’s actually a lot of fun then and the crown is all about having a good time. If you’re in the are, check it out. |
