| Crit (114), New Westminster, British Columbia | | September 9, 2008 [ Updated September 19, 2008 ] Great selection, very friendly and helpful people. Decent selection of taps.
Will definitely be back | mnapier (7), Washington does not count - explanation | | March 11, 2008 A few chairs greet you at the entrance to this bottle shop located right off of Redmond Way, down the street from Whole Foods in Redmond.
Spoke with the Owner and he strives to maintain the quality of what he carries with less than 3 percent UV lights for his fridged displays. Contacted him recently and he had several bottles of Older Viscosity as well as La Folie.
Definitely a welcome addition when compared to Redmond Fine Wine & Cigars a couple of blocks away, or the nearby grocery stores.
Cheers | Man_vs_City (3), Redmond, Washington does not count - explanation | | February 15, 2008 A real surprise stuck next to a Fed Ex Kinkos on Hwy 202. Sign up for Doug and Lizzie’s newsletter for great tips and new arrivals. The owners are friendly and helpful. Selection is amazing for the little town of Redmond, WA. They have everything from 12 OZ bottles to kegs. | | leitrim65 (16), Seattle, Washington | | January 31, 2008 Hidden in the corner of a strip mall. This place offers the best beer selection on the eastside. I believe the owner was on the phone most of the time I was there. The person that did help me was very nice but I didn’t get the impression his beer knowledge was top notch. Will have to get back here again soon. | | Marc (13), Yokosuka, Japan | | January 4, 2008 Smallish shop with not much to look at from the out side. Amazing selection and a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Great selection of domestics and imports alike with more then a handful of meads, small/imported wines, ports, and some other interesting things. This place is still new but should do quite well. A must hit when in the Seattle area. | | jhumphries69 (17), Tyrone, Georgia | | August 28, 2007 This place is awesome. Doug and Lizzie are super-friendly and were very helpful. The selection is hands-down the best. They may not have quite the selection of imports as Bottleworks - but it is awfully darn close *and* they had a much better selection of fine and rare domestic craft brews. I was blown away with some of the stuff I found (last year’s DFH World Wide Stout, for instance). AND they were able to ship it to me (I live in Atlanta and my alternative was to check it for a plane ride since average Joe’s are forbidden to ship alcohol into and out from Georgia). The place is very nice, though a little small. But, like Bottleworks, it cannot be judged on size - awesome selection and great owners. They also offer tastings (beer on Fridays, wine on Saturdays). I wasn’t able to attend, but I liked the idea. | scrizzz (5), kirkland, Washington does not count - explanation | | August 13, 2007 [ Updated September 8, 2007 ] Parking is rough, but fully worth it! Incredible selection of local and worldly beers! Weekly tastings and a staff that knows beer and wine. You can never just ’stop by’ and grab something, there’s way too much to distract you. | | fakepurseninja (33), Sammamish, Washington | | August 5, 2007 I really enjoy shopping here. I try to get in once per week since they opened and with each passing week the selection gets better. First thing to mention about this place is the customer service level, which is off the charts. Doug and Lizzie are not only very friendly and inviting, but also want to make the effort to find you the drinks that you dont know you are looking for. A knowledgable staff is worthless if they just sit at the counter and stare at you, which happens a lot at other bottleshops. Store is clean and well laid of. Attention to detail is impressive. Lots of Colorado and Washington selections available. My only real compaint is that there is too much focus of 4/6-packs and not enough on individual bottle sales. Seems there could be more variety without taking up as much refer space. | | after4ever (86), Brier, Washington | | June 7, 2007 [ Updated April 7, 2008 ] This place has become a regular stop for me for the past year or so that they’ve been open. A few things are higher priced than the supermarkets, but as bottleshops go they’re more than competitive. They get virtually everything that every other store in town gets. Doug & Lizzie are super personable, knowledgable, and cool. They make a serious effort with wine as well, and offer the unique-ish feature of rentable cellaring space. They always take care of you if you’re serious about beer. They even do weekly beer tastings, followed the next day by wine tastings. They’re in it for the love of it without a doubt. | | AmEricanbrew (65), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana | | June 4, 2007 I had heard about this great new beer store "soon to open in Redmond" from a distributer back in January. It finally opened in early May. Lots of space here, the place looked almost empty then but had over 400 bottles with more coming every week. The owner is planning on carrying twice this amount when they’re at full stock.
Also in their plans are a beer garden out back.
This place is already good and looks to have huge potential. | View Page : 1 2
