Basically a grocery convenience store, with several Quebec brewers well represented. A decent place, more than your regular supermarket, for beer. Otherwise nothing special even for Quebec. A few seasonals and bombers.

A small and unassuming grocery store in a quaint section of Gatineau. Beer selection is large for the size of the store. Lots of Quebec micros including DDC, Maitre Brass, Trois Mousq, Brughel, Unibroue, et al. Decent prices, especially on Unibroue bombers. I grabbed a DDC 12 pack for about $18.00. Service was friendly enough, our cashier spoke no English, so she went and got someone who did, and all was well. I’ll be back for sure.

What a nice little spot. In semi-remote Gatineau (granted, everywhere in Gatineau feels remote), this convenience store offers an awesome selection of mainly Quebecois micro’s, but some French imports as well. Proper glassware is also available at reasonable prices. The set-up and display of the beer is very nice, everything is orderly and logical. I didn’t feel cramped, but there was no one else there. Service was very friendly (helps if you speak French though it’s not mandatoy), prices varied ridiculously but nothing was too bad. I would really love to frequent this place if I lived in Ottawa.

Typical grocery store with a fairly good beer selection. They have all the usual suspects but with two shelving units completely devoted to micros. I found it a tad pricey but in Ottawa away from Montreal and the majority of micros, it’s understandable. La trappe is maybe a $1-2 cheaper but doesn’t have the selection. RERATE: Went in at a different time and ran into Marcel. Super guy, learning about craft brews the same as everyone else. Talked brews with him for awhile and recommended a bunch going both ways. We agreed to meet again in a couple of weeks and trade notes.

Nice selection of Quebec microbrew. DDC, Au Maitre Brasseur, La Barberie, Le Bilboquet, Brueghel, Rj. A nice option for the beer starved Ottawa region.

Nice little grocery store with a nice well layed-out back section dedicated to beer. Pleasant to shop at. As far as selection is concerned it doesn’t match the good stores in Montreal or La Barik at Trois-Rivières. When I was there they were missing many items currently available in the better Quebec establishments. However this store is pretty much as good as it gets in this part of Quebec (western-quebec). Ok glassware selection. Good prices. A nice store. A must for this part of the province.

Popped in today on Blankboys recommendation, I was on a weekend break in Ottawa and drove the 3k over the bridge and I am very glad I did. A medium sized convenience store with a decent beer selection and glassware selection. Picked up a heap of new ratings and of course, some Peche Mortel mmm. Staff were friendly and boxed up my beers for me too. Such a novelty for me too to be able to buy beer in a non government owned store!

Visited last Autumn after a bit of a bus commute from Ottawa -- easy to do if you’re feeling adventurous and strong (i.e. for carrying back all the goodies you’ll find there). It’s a quaint little groc-shop with a beer corner in the back and a few items of glassware for sale (I picked up my first Unibroue glass there -- a Fin Du Monde). Staff was friendly if busy, but still helped pack up the boxes. Selection is fairly broad with lots of local brews reasonably priced. Worth the trip even for the park at the end of the street as you can walk right up to the fence over-looking a great open view up and down the river, a particularly crisp and invigorating activity at that time of year.
