| michael-pollack (71), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | September 17, 2009 Bar ambience. Good service. Good selection of drafts and bottles. Fair burger and fries. Good value. Glad I checked it out once. | | wilsomb (29), State College, Pennsylvania | | June 24, 2009 Great pub! Loved the atmosphere and the selection of taps and bottles. Food was great too. Terrible brewpub! The only thing to complain about was that the house beers are terrible, especially their lager. If you ignore the fact that they brew, this is a great bar. Not worth the trip. | | RichJ7 (14), Cullman, Alabama | | June 5, 2009 Spent almost an entire weekend in this pub. Great divey atmosphere. Wonderfully helpful and friendly service. Great selection of beers. The stuff brewed on premises was good but not great. Food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Wish it were my local. | | nj4christ (14), Columbus, New Jersey | | December 18, 2008 [ Updated January 6, 2009 ] Great pub! Loved the atmosphere and the selection of taps and bottles. Food was great too.

Homey bar area, with tons of character. During my visit, they had 3 house beers on draught, and one on cask, along with maybe 10 or so guest taps. Beers aren’t bad, but aren’t outstanding. It’s worth the trip just for the atmosphere, friendly bartenders make all the difference. Only sampled the pub chips the rest of the food seemed to have a British flair. | bigbobdog (4), does not count - explanation | | April 7, 2008 some common some not so common beers. always enjoy the food and the dip for pretzels | | tronraner (100), Seymour, Tennessee | | October 25, 2007 The house beers were fair, but were not at all what were reflected on the menu. The atmosphere was very claustrophobic for my taste this was not helped by the presence of a Samuel Adams sales rep pushing people to try his beers. The service was terse and apathetic. I only ate a salad, so I can’t reflect too much on the food selection, but what I had was decent. All in all, this was not a particularly enjoyable experience. I will probably not return. | chief65 (3), Alabama does not count - explanation | | August 20, 2007 Selection was very disappointing. Their own IPA and Wheat, which were average, along with about 10 other taps, all of which were typical. Only exception was Youngs Double Choc Stout, which was just tapped that morning. Delicious!
Food was very poor - skip the Fish&chips. | | ¾ (615), Boulder, Colorado | | July 9, 2007 Nice pub, intimate, low light, dining mixed right in with the long, cramped bar but it’s a cozy feeling. Beer selection was a bit poor, 3-4 taps of their own, but another 10 or so taps of microbrew, plus a huge bottle list. Crowd was decently jovial, a little too much of the suburbs were in here dining, but otherwise it was a fun visit. Wasn’t too impressed with their food, the steak sandwich I had was pretty lacking. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | February 20, 2007 February 2007: Stopped by here for a late lunch on a frigid February afternoon. The brewpub is along a central street in Carlisle, a typical little village for this part of Pennsylvania. The interior is low-ceilinged but does a respectable job at imitating an English pub. While the service was a tad bit slow, it was efficient enough to keep us happy. Our food was very good, and also rivaled a decent British tavern. Most importantly, the house beers were very good (and they had a decent list of guest taps), which means I’ll be back if in the area again. |
