September 10, 2009 Classic McMenamins with murals on the wall, their usual pub fare, and their usual beer on tap. I really enjoyed the experience none the less. Wait staff was friendly, and the beer was tasty. |

May 11, 2009 Great bar atmosphere with usually attentive servers and a great pool area. A bad taste was definitely left in my mouth several years back when I went there with my friend Leems, my ex girlfriend and a friend of hers and they made Leems and myself drink at the bar because the girls were underage. Assume it’s because it’s a concert venue, but it was on a sunday afternoon for pete’s sake. One perk is can you hear music from the crystal ballroom if you’re not attending the concert, or can get your pre-game on if you’re heading to a show later. |

November 18, 2008 It’s a pretty fun place. If you are into McMenamins it’s definitely a must for your list. I never have problems with servers here, and you know how slow McMenamins can be. Standard food from them but they seem to have a little extra when it comes to their brews. Some recipes that don’t make to a lot of other ones. |

June 4, 2008 A fantastic place, huge bar area with 6 pool tables off to one side, but remember to go upstairs to the 2nd floor to see the beutifully decorated brewery (painted tanks etc.) and if open to the 3rd floor ballroom and try the fantastic bouncy floor - I’d love to go to a concert there. They have cheap late afternoon pubgrub - where I chose a good cheeseburger, though not many patron in the place in late afternoon on a Thursday. The staff was very friendly. 9 beers on draft. |

May 8, 2008 [ Updated September 16, 2008 ] This is a great place for concerts and dancing. An old floating ball room floor turned into another McMenamins place to visit in Portland. Same type of beer as all others and the food was also very nice. Parking can be tight and you will have to walk a good few blocks to find parking. You can drop off your friends then find the parking so you look cool. The McMenamin brothers have out done themselves again. The beer is good, cold and ample. The food pub fair with the lamest service. |

March 6, 2008 What can you say, the Crystal has great concerts, Ringlers... well is always packed like there is a concert. Standard McMenamins food and brews. Ringlers gets filled with a bit more trendy people then you see at the typical McMenamins, but same with the NW pubs. |

June 6, 2007 Located less than a block from Henry’s 12th Street, the bar entrance is on Burnside while the Crystal Ballroom entrance is on SW 14th Ave. The pub is typical McMenamins decoration and atmosphere, with a long bar in the center and a number of booths around the outside. The website lists the standard McMenamins beer lineup but they do seasonals and specials at this location as well. |
