Visited summer 2008. First thing first. If you are visiting Toronto you need to walk around (or bike around in our case) the Distillery district. This whole area (about three blocks) is really super cool to visit. Touristy but very pleasant for its cool shops, old well maintained industrial buildings, etc. Then obviously while you are at it, you need to stop at the Mill Street Brewpub Which is right in the middle of it. Huge place with a small patio in the front and a medium size patio in the back. Eleven house-beer on tap when I was there. They make many bland beers but if you pick carefully they do have a few interesting offerings. Food is acceptable standard greasy pub fare. Enjoyable basic greasy food (borderline junk-food) but I found it a bit too pricy for what it was. All in all this was a very enjoyable experience but in good part because of the Distillery district surrounding the pub.

Love the feel to the place. Nice balance between a restaurant, a pub, and brewery. Got to love the location too. Friendly enough service. They’ve got all the bottled beers and a fair amount of non-bottled drafts to choose from. Can pick up growlers of some of the stuff they don’t bottle yet too. A couple beers I’ve heard about weren’t available on draft that day, though I’m just being needy. Good food and not too pricey for Toronto. A must see for beer fans in Toronto.

I love this neighbourhood. The old building is beautiful all by itself. Service was frienly and attentive. It was good to be able to finally taste most of the Mill St. brews on tap. Had a really great time.

Nice brewpub tucked away in the Distillery District. The food was tasty and the brews were plentiful. The service was good as well as having outdoor seating. Overall, a must stop.

The location in the Distillery district makes this an attractive spot to visit with time to walk around the area. They usually have some draught only choices here that are otherwise hard to track down. A cask version of their IPA was truly wonderful. The food is not fancy, but fresh and very good.

This was a nice place to visit because of the history of the Distillery district. The buildings are spectaculare to see and to just think of what happend in the past here. The Mill Street brewpub was very busy but astill nice to have a beer there and a snack. The service was good also the beer.

What used to be the brewery is now a brewpub. A long list of quality seasonals is the main highlight. Though busy and it maintains a fairly relaxed, if slightly corporate, feel. Service was generally good.

Lively modern brewpub in atmospheric Distillery district. 12 house beers, no macros or guest taps. Best opportunity to sample the brewer’s wares. Had a spot-on hoppy pils when I was there and the helles bock is nice too.

I must say I adored the Distillery district. I wish they did such a project in Montreal. The ice cream at Soba’s was excellent. As far as Mill Stree goes, their building is of course spectacular. Completely packed place feeling touristy and not quite a place you’d want to spend hours in, but I guess it has to be visited once, especially that there are lots of taps here, some of which are not bottled or extremely hard to find. Efficient service, offering free samples despite the heavy business.
