November 15, 2009 It has been exceedingly difficult for me to find Moccasin Bend’s beers at stores and bars around town so I decided to go to the source which paid off. Tastings are conducted here on Saturdays and Sundays after 2pm. For $6 you get a flight of all the beers in 3 oz. glasses and one pint of your choice. There were a total of 11 beers on when I went so it was quite the bargain. The tasting room is quaint and eccentrically decorated with a hodge podge of couches, books, records, a jukebox, and miscellaneous decor. The brewer gave us a tour and conducted the tasting and was more than eager to talk about beer. He also let us try the base smoked beer for his smoked porter blend and it honestly was a tremendously delicious beer, however they were reluctant to release it as its own brand given the questionable popularity of smoked beers. I would recommend this as a stop for any beer geek with some extra time in Chattanooga. |

July 29, 2009 This place is hard to find if you don’t know where you are looking. It’s actually behind the building in the basement.
Chris has always been very welcoming and the visit to his facility the day of Noog 5 was no different. He had 7 or 8 or so beers available to try and was kind enough to be cooking BBQ for us as well. The facilities are spartan but it is very much a working brewery. Stop by if you are in the neighborhood. They will treat you right. |

June 30, 2009 In the basement of an old building, so it looks like it should from the outside. Which isn’t much. Had 8 beers to sample, cooked us up a burger and brought a cask to Noogfest. Can’t say enough about Chris and Duncan’s hospitality for the cheap tour/tasting fee |

June 25, 2009 Not much to see here but worth a visit at the Saturday weekly "tour" For $6 you get 2 pints and unlimited samples. Not a bad deal. This is in the historic area of St Elmo at the foot of Lookout Mtn. |

June 3, 2008 We went to the open house before Noogfest 4. Tough to rate ambiance - definately an industrial feel in an historic neighborhood. The staff was accomidating and made sure no one left thirsty. |
