| Hophead22 (44), Redlands, California | | July 5, 2008 One of my first brewpubs. Remember it was really big and loud. The beer was ok, could get it in bottles as well. Last time I tried to get in in 2002, the bouncer said we weren’t dressed properly. Too bad they closed down. The old equipment is at Hangar 24 in CA. now | | bhensonb (244), Woodland, California | | November 16, 2007 Sad to see a brewpub turn into a beer bar. Still better beer than no beer, and so long as they put on a few locals it is worth it, considering how far it is to anywhere with decent ales in LV. | | DuffMan (52), Calgary , Alberta | | October 6, 2007 We made a special trip to the Monte Carlo to try this place out and were very disappointed. This place should be officially stricken from the record, as it is no longer a brewpub. It was bought out by the MGM Grand, and they shut down the brewery portion of the business and have brought in all Miller products. There is one tap with Sin City Stout, and there are a couple of bottle choices outside the macro realm (a few Stone selections, including Arrogant Bastard to my surprise, the ubiquitous but enjoyable Sierra Nevada, and Anchor Liberty). The food portions were ridiculously large but tastey. | | Dansting (114), Overland Park, Kansas | | June 29, 2007 Visited in January 2005. Notes: An okay place located in the Monte Carlo Casino on the Strip. I thought the place was nice looking on the inside. The food was pretty good. The beers were okay, with the exception of their Las Vegas Lite was God-awful. Worth hitting if you’re on the Strip, although the ones off the Strip are apparently a lot better. | | unclemattie (90), Georgia | | April 24, 2007 it looked like they plucked the bar out of southbeach and inbred it with a barn! Vegas meets barnyard. Brick, Beatbox, and Blacklights. They don’t even freakin brew anymore!!! Sucks. Throwback Thursdays!!! 90s music videos. picked up a SinCity Stout and a $6.00 Stone IPA (12 oz) I can say I’ve Been... | | BeerBelcher (89), Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | April 16, 2007 This establishment no longer brews its own beer, but has a long bar with abundant taps. Unfortunately, all these taps source the same beers, and these beers represent the usual suspects. Therewere about 20 bottles available as well, but not much exciting on that part of the list either.
I had a local Sin City Stout on draft (not very exciting) and a New Belgium Blue Paddle which also was not very crafty.
The bartender seemed distinctly not knowledgeable about beer (he had no idea what kind of beer Blue Paddle was) and also had some trouble mixing the other drinks on the bar’s menu. All beer, regardless of type, comes served in a frozen weizen glass. Not good.
Ambiece was decent; the place looks like a brewpub, even though it isn’t. The food (steamed clams and nachos) I had was pretty decent. | alexanderj (9), San Diego, California does not count | | April 2, 2007 Went to have some local micro brews while in Vegas. However, they informed us that they no longer brew their own beer. The bartender said they are now like every other place on the strip. Thats about right. Had 1 sin city beer on tap at least. | | jsquire (21), St. Marys, Ohio | | December 10, 2006 Not sure what other brew pubs are in Vegas, but this was the only one I found. Hung over and hungry, this place filled the bill. Decent beers, nice sampler and good pub food. I sat at the bar for lunch and it was a typical pub experience. | | redlem (58), Illinois | | October 22, 2006 I think this is the place I went to. After wandering the casinos all day they all kind of blend together into one big flashing light, dinging, smokey, mindless mess. That said the IPA was decent and the lunch was also OK. | | mjg74 (38), La Mesa, California | | October 10, 2006 Decent little bar. Service is pretty good. Enjoyable brews. Sampler tray is nice. Very dark inside. I went early in the day, so it wasn’t too crowded. Didn’t eat. | View Page : 1 2 3 4
