| shawnm213 (42), South Bend, Indiana | | September 27, 2009 Too drunk by the time I arrived here to accurately rate this place, but maybe this is better than nothing. I have no idea what they have on tap. As soon as i walked in my friend hammer handed me a st. pauli girl bottle, so i know they have at least that. This bar is nice in that it is like 4 bars in one, with a nice outdoor area. There are pool tables, and some musicians in the back. If you are wasted and need some time to yourself you can retreat to one of the other rooms and it is like being in a new bar without leaving the place. A lot of hipsters, but i barely noticed any other life forms while in this bar. Thank you phaleslu for taking me here! I’ll have to rerate. | | phaleslu (90), Cincinnati, Ohio | | July 3, 2009 [ Updated September 28, 2009 ] One of my favorite bars in Cincinnati in terms of location and overall stuff to do. Nice front room, great jukebox, a pool room, patio with a pizza counter, and a back room that features free live music all the time. A better selection of beers could be found up the road at The Comet, but they normally have at least a few good things on tap. Pretty typical bottle selection. Prices are lower than most bars, and they normally have a decent beer on special. This place is hipster central for Cincinnati, so don’t expect to meet any friendly new people. | | TearsforBeers (11), Ohio | | June 8, 2009 Great ambiance and often full of entertaining people. Selection is not that great, but they usually have Avery IPA, Dogfish 60, or Two-hearted on tap. Prices are a little higher than I’d prefer, but not bad. | | Tmoney99 (256), Cincinnati, Ohio | | June 22, 2007 Building in the middle of block with street parking in front and lot parking across street. Clean older brick building with bar on the right, tables on the right for food and beverages and pool tables in back room. Large beer patio area on the side with a small food kitchen called The hideaway. Good beer selection of bottles and six taps. All were solid drinkable brews. Freindly bartender. Did not eat. Good local stop and when I am in the area I will stop again | Kingtubby (5), Cincinnati, Ohio does not count - explanation | | February 6, 2007 A decent neighborhood bar with decent beer selection. Nice looking bar, but then again I’m biased considering my dad built it. | | JCW (89), Cincinnati, Ohio | | June 18, 2005 [ Updated September 5, 2008 ] Beer selection isn’t that exciting but the do have 4 non-macros on tap. This wouldn’t be a bad neighborhood watering hole, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to go here, in fact if someone was visiting Northside, I’d tell them to head on up Hamilton Ave a couple of mile to The Comet for a better selection. Food can be bought and eaten (at Northside Tavern) from the deli next door which is quite good. |
