Arranged this as a went with my work pals. The guide inveted us to a Ocean Eco Ale before the tour. As a bonus we had a ale wile examenating the diferent tanks. Had the 4 other that werre in the the packagage - Mild (ooo sweet black currant), IPA, Gbg porter & Järntorgets Porer (9%ABV - power stuff). We treeted us to share two more of the pitches before bye bye. A very nice guy taked about this and that - very interesting! As mentioned before - dam cold, there’s no heating in this place... | | gnoff (127), Göteborg, Sweden | | September 29, 2009 Has visited the brewery a couple of times, with friends, on my own or with beer clubs. Head brewer Tomas Bingebo is always very friendly and generous with his beers. Any questions regarding process, equipment or beer recepies he’ll gladly talk about. Usually not open for visits, make arrangements instead of trying to just show up. Located in old brewery buildings from Lyckholms Bryggeri. Closest tram stop is Almedal. | | ekstedt (46), Göteborg, Sweden | | September 25, 2009 Nice place to visit once to hear the brewer Tomas Bingebo give you a thorough insight into his brewing procedures. There is a little bar behind with a very limited selection on draft. Bring warm clothing, as it is darn cold in the brewery, especially at winter time. | | sebletitje (78), Tampa, Florida | | June 28, 2009 Visited with Gnoff, and was hosted that the friendly head brewer Thomas.
Place is in the actual old retired and now defunct main Götheborg brewery. (which I have forgotten the name).
Place is simple, office with a side room for tasing.
Thomas was kind enough to share the beers fresh of the tanks and it was a pleasing experience.
Good to see that things are movong nciely in Sweden and people are craving craft beers.
Service and atmosphere cannot get any better than being face to face with the brewer. Beer selection is of course limited to what is being brewed. |
