The atmosphere had the college town feel one would expect from a college town. In fact, I was one of only two people not wearing either a tiger tail or orange shirt. Bricks walls, wooden booths and tables, several tv’s, and a bar that seats around 10-12. The small lobby area is cleverly decorated with beers currently unavailable in Alabama due to the 6% abv cap. The beer selection consisted of eight beers, with the Team Porter coming away as the winner for me. Beer prices were very reasonable and ranged between $2.25 and $3.25. Expecting typical bar food, I was pleasantly surprised to see everything from filet mignon to grilled stuffed pork chops to crawfish etoufee (as well as the typical bar food). Me, I opted for the shrimp & grits topped with a spicy tasso ham gravy that paired nicely with both the Plainsman IPA and the HopDragon IPA. Overall, the Olde Auburn Ale House is a fine place to stop in for a beer and an establishment I fully recommend.

I think this place has undergone many changes since its inception. I like the idea of having a brewpub under a parking deck. The selection is varied and pretty decent, especially the IPA. Unlike others, I actually liked their food, too.

Has a nice college bar/sports bar ambiance. The waitress/bartender was very good and had the personality to match. Had 7 house taps plus 1 other. A few bottles to handle the BMC crowd.

Kinda grubby and off-the-path. It ain’t on Tichenor Ave, it’s on the alley behind Tichenor. I had to have major mapping and cell phone assistance to find the place. The beer wasn’t stellar. Hard to speak to the service -- I got there at 3:30 in the afternoon when they were just opening up and I was the only guy in the place. Bar was subterranean and dank. Have to give this a shot some evening, but the beer didn’t have me itching to come back.

Great service, great food, beer is not very good. You certainly appreciate the effort, it seems the brewmatster really believes in his beer, but its not very good - stay with the darks. Also, it is very difficult to find.

A nice brew pub. Eclectic menu - primarily traditional southern and cajun food - a lot of dishes with crawfish. Service was phenomenal - limited beer choice when I went but still some good stuff especially given the area. Really enjoyed the place but would imagine it gets crowded as hell on weekends given the location. It is off the main street right next to the city hall parking garage (does not face Tichenor Dr - you’ve got to go to the back of the building and there’s no hint that anything is back there until you’re right in front of it).

Spacious college brew-pub with adequate seating and bar area. Menu is not too bad and has some creative items on it. Unfortunately the chump in the kitchen could not get it right for the life of him. The first few entrées we ordered were either inedible or completely wrong (they were out of what we ordered so he just decided to make me something else…that was completely different than what I ordered). However, after a bit of complaining our waitress really did pull it together for us. The food that came out later was much improved and actually what we ordered. Beer selection was good in variety and generally in flavor (see ratings) but I discovered that you can’t take beer with you (in either growler or bottle form) due to another archaic and crap-tacular Alabama state law. So sorry to everyone I was hoping to get beer for. Met the manager (who was a pretty nice guy). Overall, a good experience and I would go back.

Pretty good beer and food selection. The best brewpub in the auburn area.

Been here a couple times. They have a decently long list of beers, but I have yet to be impressed by any of them.

Went for a Saturday Lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the brewmaster came out and asked asked our opinion of his beer. The Food was very good, I thought, and the waitress said that everything is made from scratch. Overall a nice place.
