14 reviews for Orlando Ale House (Universal Studios area)
| SoLan (12), Orlando, Florida | | September 28, 2009 Been to this location a few times as it’s only a few minutes from where I live. Typical chain pub. Typical grub and beer selection, just more beer to choose from than comparable competitors, problem is it’s just more macro stuff. I once ordered a draft Boston Lager and it took me a good 15 minutes to convince the bartender that their lines must be mixed up because the beer in my glass was definitely a regular macro pale lager. Other than that incident, the service has always good. A little expensive for what you get, but that’s to be expected being across the street from Universal. | | Maltajo (19), TARRYTOWN, New York | | April 21, 2009 This place was great! I must have caught it at a good time for it was not to crowded to get beer and order food. Both were great! Good seating good service and friendly people. Go and Enjoy! | | auderale (35), Fairchild AFB, Washington | | January 24, 2009 From what everyone said the food here is pretty good. The beer selection was average. Nothing that would make me go back. It was busy and hard to find a seat. The bartender was friendly, but too busy to talk about the beer selection. Nice place but gear more towards the food than the beer. | | thill25 (11), Orlando, Florida | | February 4, 2008 [ Updated March 13, 2008 ] The food is just alright. Typical pub grub. Try the Big Red chicken sandwich. The beer list isn’t anything special. The service is usually pretty good. Overall, a good place to catch a game and pound some session beers. | | BREWMUSKCLES (47), New Jersey | | January 26, 2008 not a bad place, just not a place for people who are interested in finding new and interesting beer and food. of the oah establishments i have been to i find that to be deal. the ale house name should not neccessarily lead one to expect an interesting brew experience, and probably will not. | dsm (4), Baltimore, Maryland does not count - explanation | | November 26, 2007 We asked the waitress if they had any local or hard to get beers and she told us that yuengling has a plant in Orlando so maybe that should count. That says it all. They did have a lot of taps though, just nothing particularly unusual or noteworthy. The food was decent. | | performula (27), Triangle Area, North Carolina | | September 19, 2007 Read. This is not a place for exotic beers but their food is very good. I have yet to have a plate I did not like. Wood layout with TVs around the bars. You will never see a mound of chips like their blackened chicken nachos. Their wings are the best in Orlando (order them naked). Service has always been great.
My favorite (Miller’s) Alehouse is located at Semoran/436 on the right as you leave the MCO airport. | | f351c4v (77), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania | | August 15, 2007 Ale House... yea, anyway, stopped here on a business trip, not what we were expecting. Maybe 30 or so drafts, the most exotic being Anchor Steam and Guinness. Oh, and they had a rare Belgian, Stella. Bleh, avoid if looking for real beer. Otherwise, the food was OK, and there’s TV’s everywhere, yippee... | | liquidcrack (11), | | May 30, 2007 O.K. so the micro-beer selection is lacking. BUT, so is the rest of the Disney area. T.V.’s everywhere, portions are HUGE, service was great, and prices cheap. For the area, it can’t be beat. A must stop for food if staying in Disney, better than a burger and fries for $8 at Disney. | | redlight (50), Winter Park, Florida | | January 25, 2007 There are a lot of these, more popping up everyday i feel. I’m still trying to figure out why its called the "ALE" house? Since there were only 3-4 ales on draft? Siera, hoegaarden, bass, and maybe guiness i can’t remember. Ok, so beer is NOT the reason to go there, but the zingers boneless chicken wings or the chicken nachos (which i’ve never seen anyone finish) is probably worth atleast checking out. |
