May 5, 2008 [ Updated June 9, 2008 ] Went for a retirement party. Sort of a Jimmy Buffett Florida Keys wannabe motif, lots of Hooters-style wood furnishings. Extensive, if not eclectic, menu of pub fare. 99 bottled beers, including some locals like Williamsburg AleWerks. Decent prices. Happy hour had 1/2 priced drafts, but watch what the regular price is.. some are pricey, others not so much. Only had appetizers, but what I had (Bottlecaps - fried jalapeño slices with dipping sauce) was tasty. Not a bad place. Waitress was clueless about the beers.
Small update - took the family back for dinner - above average food for a place of it’s ilk - everyone agreed what they ordered was tasty. Waitress was only working her first night, so I will forgive the shoddy service this go-round. |
