RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Yea, yea I’ve been to Party Source lots of times. Party Town is unique in that the manager lets Jeff the beer manager have alot of lee way. I talk with Jeff alot and he helps me find lots of beers that I can’t get in Ohio. I’m honest with him, if its something I think they can sell alot of I tell him that and if it something I just want I tell him that too. They have a wide selection of beer, wine, liquor, tobacco(humidor in store) and home brewing supplies. They will sell beer in singles as well as sixer, cases etc. Also, they sell many other party supplies. Sells growlers from four beers on tap in the store.

AndyReynolds (3), Wilder, Kentucky does not count | | August 4, 2008 This place is awesome! I went in expecting it to be a little less than Party Source, but this place blew me away! Their variety was not as big as Party Source, but they had more rarities and better choices on tap, including Dogfish Head’s 120 Minute IPA. Plus, the staff is a hell of a lot more friendly. | | sliffy (86), Columbus, Ohio | | April 2, 2008 Having been down to Party Source plenty of times, this was my first trip to this location. The selection seems pretty similar between the two, but I was there for the growler fills which didn’t disappoint. There are definitely some nice shelf aged finds to made here. Plenty of odds and ends that seem to have lingered longer than one might expect. Pretty good store overall, service was very good. | shalloWMeans (9), Florence, Kentucky does not count | | February 12, 2007 Party Town is an absolutely wonderful place. I actually feel really grateful to be able live only about 10 miles from one of the best liquor stores in the country. There are lots and lots of microbrews and imports to choose from, arranged by country of course, lots of gifts, candles, cheeses, and of course wine (ehhh). And the employees are all more than helpful and friendly. I’ve gotten to know nearly everyone there and must admit that they are all really great people. Check it out | | HoppityHop (28), | | February 6, 2007 This place is an oasis compared to most of the surrounding area. While driving through the area, it was recommended I stop by, and was glad I did. Would definitely go back, next time. Nothing extremely rare but I did find a few regional gems........overall, they have a good selection of bottles, cans, and kegs. | | brentfeesh (51), Gadsden, Alabama | | November 13, 2006 Party town is well worth the stop. Very close to the highway with tons of parking. I usually stop if I’m passing by. The store has a very nice selection of everything. Outstanding beers both foreign and domestic, great liquor (bourbon in particular), what appears to be a good wine selection (though I’ve never looked that close), and a walk in humidor. They also have anything else you could be looking for related to parties (décor, party favors, and some finger foods). The store itself is a bit cluttered but who cares. There’s tons-o-stuff. | | shigadeyo (57), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio | | August 23, 2006 Party Town is a lot like The Party Source, only not quite as much of everything. In addition, the store itself isn’t as nice. However, according to their "Summer Party Guide", they have 3000+ wines and 1800+ beers. They also have cigars, liquor, and party supplies. Their prices are a tad cheaper on some things, but mostly the same as The Party Source. I only saw a handful of beers at Party Town that are not at The Party Source (not too suprising since they probably use the same distributer). Party Town is a good choice if you live close, but I will probably stick to The Party Source and the other exceptional stores in Ohio. | | Naven (48), San Diego, California | | July 19, 2006 An interesting concept. A party store which sells booze. TONS of booze. They have ALL the beers I seem to love, including alot of west coast and Colorado beers, such as Great Divide (Titan, Hercules, OAK AGED yeti), Stone, etc. So much stuff. I picked up some goose Island, 120 min IPA, Arcadia, Bells. They have singles in the cooler, which is also insanely good. Good Belgian selection too. Excellent place. Dare I say, the best liquor store I have ever been to. In Kentucky, no less. | | OhioDad (38), Hilliard, Ohio | | July 19, 2006 Great selection of singles in the back all kept in the cooler. Good selection of six packs and bombers as well. Sits in a strip mall with quite a bit of parking. Wasn’t overly crowded on a Tuesday when I went. Employees were very helpful and also willing to let you browse. Owner asked me if I wanted to be on the mailing list to be aware of new taps. 3 taps there to fill growlers. Some unique brews on tap. Also a good selection of brews not available acrossed the state line in Ohio. | | Capa (53), Yokosuka, Japan | | March 2, 2006 Has a nice selction of party goods and glassware and all that. Also has a nice beer selection. Plenty of singles of imports and micros and all are kept cold. Looked like a nice wine selection also though I didnt browse through it too much. Pretty good store but I like the Party Source better. | | illinismitty (200), Nashville, Tennessee | | February 1, 2006 Very similar to the Party Source, but not as fancy or organized. Good selection of singles, so that you are not stuck buying a six pack of something you merely want to try. When I stopped in, some of the shelves were empty. Not as well stocked at Party Source on my visit, but worth a stop. | View Page : 1 2
