| Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | October 18, 2009 I really enjoyed this place. My first stop on this one day stop over in Seattle. Situated in the mall adjacent to the Pike Place Market, on the lower level, the decor is a typical brewpub setting. Service at the bar was friendly. Beers were outstanding. The sampler is a bit expansive (6 3 on for 8.95$) but you can negotiate with the barman to get the brands you want. A must stop, since you can visit the Market at the same time. | | SuzyGreenberg (25), Seattle, Washington | | September 21, 2009 Big restaurant brew pub conveniently connected to Pike Place Market, which assures a consistent crowd; has a main restaurant area, several levels & bars and a "game" room w/ pool tables, big screen tv, etc; walls are covered w/ lots of interesting Seattle history and memorabilia; food is good and reasonably priced for the area; trends a little more touristy than local; lots of bottles and Pike gear available for sale | | can8ianben (67), Pasadena, California | | September 8, 2009 A really fascinating brewpub concept within a mall environment. The brewery is stacked in 3 visible layers and the dinning area and kitchen surrounds it. Food was excellent and the beer was good. The wait staff seemed a little board - if not slightly rude. I’d recommend this place to those in the area. | | highibus (14), Mill Creek, Washington | | July 18, 2009 Been here a couple of times now, but recently was the first since I have actually moved here. Always busy but not to the point where you don’t get help. Food is good. A little pricey but to be expected. Beer was good, not great, but good. Had the cask IPA which was nice. Also had the double ipa on and I really enjoyed that. Family enjoyed it too. | emptylemon51 (2), Arizona does not count - explanation | | June 20, 2009 I think this is a must see of you are in the Seattle area. A true classic on the brewpub scale. Nothing overly fancy but they serve excellent beer and its a good atmosphere for enjoying a cold one. | | KnN (21), Greenbelt, Maryland | | June 1, 2009 Made it here on a recent trip to Seattle. This is a really nice larger brewpub. Several rooms, a few TVs around, but nothing intrusive. Beer selection was pretty typical brewpub fare, but all of the beers were above average. One nice cask pull selection and an interesting rotating tap of some more extreme stuff. Had the fish and chips which were very nice, and my wife had some fantastic west coast crab cakes. Service was fine, lots of merch to look at. Really nice place and worth a stop if you’re in Seattle. | | jbrus (110), Delft, Netherlands | | May 7, 2009 I loved this place in the cellar of Pike’s Market. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The beers are good to great and the food was above average. A more or less chaotic combination of rooms with lots of beer stuff on the walls. The sell a lot of Pike-wear like t-shirts, glasses, caps, etc.. | rcasta (7), , El Salvador does not count - explanation | | February 16, 2009 dentro de pike’s market, me gusto el ambiente con bastante informacion de la historia de la birria. son profesionales. | | Dogbrick (218), Columbus, Ohio | | January 29, 2009 (Visited 05/2008): Pike Brewery is located at one end of the Pike Market near the Arcade. Parking can be found at various meters and garages in the immediate area.
The brewpub is on the lower level, and you can actually look down into the bar from above which is pretty cool. The interior is large with segmented areas and multiple bars.
Pike has around 10 beers on draught, and has a sampler available featuring 6 beers for $7.95. Many of the beers are the standard Amber, Pale, IPA, Scottish fare but there are a couple seasonals like a Weisse and a Tripel. All of the beers are average to above average. The XXX Stout is particularly good.
Service was good on a weekday afternoon.
I tried the fish & chips and it was very good.
Overall I would say no visit to the Pike Market would be complete without hitting the Pike Pub & Brewery while you are there. | | CheersMate1 (34), Atlanta, Georgia | | January 9, 2009 I liked this pub. I did not try the food, so I have no friggin idea how good it is. I liked the beers that they brewed, but there were some that sucked. The weisse is crap. The double ale sucks also. The XXXXX stout is great, and so is old bawdy. I tried a 2006 version of it. The best part for me was I did not know that I came during happy hour, and our bill was cut in half. I was so surprised, and happy. I was also pretty damn drunk when I left this place. I was visiting my parents, and I from Atlanta, and we don’t have stuff like this back home, so people from Seattle, appreciate what you have. The bartender was good, but he didn’t recognize me 10 seconds after I paid the bill to get the bathroom code. I was thinking either short-term memory loss, or idiot. He was a good bartender he just wasn’t that bright. Overall, great place, with SOME good beers. Give it a try if you are in Seattle. |
