| BierBauch (21), Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida | | November 29, 2009 The cask selection this time was Brewdog IPA and was very nice. The beer is actually conditioned before kegging and shipping. There was a strong presence of the wood in this one and it was delicious. They also recently added Delirium Noel on tap and have a few other nice selections like DFH and Chimay. The rest is mostly English and Scottish regulars like Guinness, Smithwicks, Old Speckled Hen and others. The food is decent bar food. nothing outstanding. Great interior decor though with a lively atmosphere. Probably the best place around these parts for draught selection. | | Rustyham (32), miami, Florida | | October 25, 2009 *I changed the address on this listing to the Whole Foods in the same shopping center since it’s the only address in the mall that Google recognizes. Otherwise, this wouldn’t show up on the GeoMaps.
I really loved this place- really overdoing it with the Brittish decor is great- huge kingly chairs, tables and booths at odd angles... For god’s sake all the waiters wear kilts!. That aside, they always have DFH 60 on tap and another DFH rotating tap (Punkin when we were there), a rotating cask usually of Brew Dog’s seasonal, plus just about every other English, Irish, Scottish, or even Welsh beer you can get commercially in the area. Decent selection of American Craft brew bottle’s too. The food is fantastic, too- huge servings and just about everything is under $10. I loved with place and only wish they’d open one in Miami. | | SoLan (12), Orlando, Florida | | September 11, 2009 Stopped in the last 2 times I was in town. A few months ago they had Hopslam on cask. It was obviously less than fresh, but still very drinkable, and I was impressed to even find a real beer engine in Naples. This past weekend they had Brewdog Hardcore IPA on cask and it was much fresher than the Bell’s, tasty. A problem with the cask service is the beers are poured into ~8-10oz snifters instead of pints. First time I was there I had a ham & swiss on a pretzel bun, great sandwich. This time I had a Young’s DBL Choc Stout BBQ Burger and again went with the pretzel bun. The burger was a bit overcooked but it was still good. Decent whisky selection is a plus. Good chance I’ll stop in for lunch once every time I’m in town. | | Suttree (88), Knoxville, Tennessee | | July 25, 2009 This place is a brand new faux-British Pub. It looks great, at least to some one who hasn’t been in an actual British Pub. It’s big and spacious with a large patio. The Selection leans heavily towards British Beers (Fullers, Belhaven), but they also have taps for Dogfish Head, Bells, and other North American Micros - Plus a rotating Cask. Service was great, but we were one of maybe 3 parties there at 3 in the afternoon. |
