4 reviews for Rak N Tap (OUT OF BUSINESS)
locust (3), Brampton, Ontario does not count - explanation | | August 7, 2009 Been out of business for 2+ years. | | tiggmtl (117), Vancouver, British Columbia | | December 12, 2004 The renovations have been completed. They were putting up walls around the bar area so that they could designate that as the "smoking lounge" which I imagine is good for business since everyone there was smoking while drinking their bottles of macrobrew. In all, the sportsbar meets grocery atmosphere is rather cold and impersonal and staff don’t do much to make it more welcoming. Choosing the bottles from a cooler is an interesting idea (although one cooler was empty and another was warm). It would be nice, however if they had a list of what was available so that you didn’t have to get up and find your own beer between drinks. Selection is fair but the turnover seems to be low and both beers I had seemed somehow old or stale. Staff were clueless about the beers. Bush Noel was served without a glass! | | jerc (142), Toronto, Ontario | | January 12, 2004 [ Updated October 25, 2004 ] Stopped by 10/25/04 and it was closed for renovations. Would suggest calling first if you are going over in the near future. I would describe the atmostphere as schizophrenic. Selection was high on quantity, medium on quat waslity. I actually enjoy this as a cheap place to play pool and may start stopping off on my way home some times. Go for cheap pool, or to try something that may not be available to you elsewhere that’s about it. | | Oakes (422), gone rambling, Vietnam | | January 3, 2004 [ Updated January 12, 2004 ] Atmospherically it's a godfrosaken trainwreck. Great beer list but low turnover and supermarket lighting. Service was fine. I wonder how long they'll be doing the beer thing, though. |
