Not too busy when we went. Ambiance of a nice restaurant. Not a huge beer selection but they had a nice diversity, and a cask ale available. Very helpful and friendly waiter. Food was good. Prices in line with SoCal. I’d go there again.

Not my first choice in SD. Few taps, and when I went the offerings were stuff I could get anywhere in the western US. Food is nice. I respect this place as a small business, but when last call is at 1130 and they won’t serve you at 1128 because they’re "on bar time," someone’s got their head in the wrong place.

Cozy, cute, and enjoyable. Decent selection of beer and the food was quite good, if a little over priced. A great place to take a date.

Great atmosphere and upscale food with a respectable tap list. Enjoyed some AleSmith IPA on tap with a cheese plate, a shephards pie, and a Nut Brown shake for dessert if that tells you anything. Certainly worth a visit.

From the outside, this has a very nice small European cafe and garden vibe. Inside is small but cozy, with white tablecloths. Nice beer list to pair with a gourmet/ English pub fare fusion menu. Prices are not cheap, but not ridiculous either. I paid $5 for a pint of Alesmith Nut Brown, and $15 for a Grilled Portobello Sandwich. Service was good considering we had a large group (RBSG)

I visited this venue at RBSG. The interior was very nice with lots of dark woodiness. It was quaint and warm. The bathrooms were limited to 1 person at a time, which was a bit of a bitch. To be honest, the fish and chips was freaking awesome. I don’t really remember too much more about the menu, but it seemed pretty comprehensive. I don’t recall the beer that I had there, but there was an eclectic bottle list as well as a good selection of taps. The service was good, especially for dealing with a large, drunk, rowdy party like us.

My new favorite local eatery. This place puts together the concept perfectly...super high quality english pub cuisine and a fine beer list. The Shepards pie, the only thing I’ve gotten here and I’ve had it twice thus far, is by far the best I’ve had..more of the Stew-type with chunks of meat and piping hot..its fucking stellar. The beer list is top notch though I cant remember exactly what was on it..on tap i had a few Green Flash LeFreak, which was decent at the time. IN any event, gotta love this place. The Service, from what i could tell, is as good as it gets...

Poked my head in after visiting Toronado across the street. Very cool looking place. The staff is pretty interesting too. Tap list and bottle list is pretty small, but a good combination of good food and good beer.

A really cool place overall! The atmosphere was great, kind of an old world Gothic/ hunting lodge. Lots of great beers on tap and in bottle (Alesmith, Stone, Lightning....). Staff was really cool and very courteous. I will be going back for sure!!

Small bar with a really good neighborhood feel. The beer list isn’t one of San Diego’s longest but it is among the most interesting, Nice balance of local and imported beers and great diversity of styles. Taps are all local, the bottles have a good selection of German & Belgian brews. Food leans towards European pub grub but has lots of fresh local produce and naturally raised meats. I really liked the shepherd’s pie. Nick the bartender was really friendly and knew the beer list well - he said the whole staff tasted and helped to select the beers - a really good sign in a place that wants to be known for craft beers. Together with Hamilton’s and the Linkery, this place is making North Park a center for good beer and food in SD.
