Similar to most rock bottoms. Allows smoking wich is a negative. Has a full bar. Didnt sample the food. A nice environment overall.

The beers at Rock Bottom were fresh and very good. I had an IPA which apparently is a new recipe and it was tremendous. The seasonals are always good. Several of the beers are pretty average, but that makes sense for appealing to many "macro" beer fans that come there. Food is usually good as well.

Everything about this joint screams average. Typical bar/grill chain decor. Uneventful beer list featuring the expected styles. Run of the mill menu. One thing that the cool is the brick oven near the back of the dining room. Its spacious and the service and food was good. Nothing outstanding but solid all around. Beers were well crafted with my faves being the Iron Horse (Sweet) Stout and the brown which features a sweet earthy malt.

Brews made on site. Some are dumbed down for the masses, but there darker brews are as good as anything else you’ll find around Charlotte, especially downtown. Service was good, place was clean with some tv’s and 2 pool tables for entertainment. Restaurant area looks nice, with a stone pizza oven set in the middle, but I have not eaten here.

Visited back in March. Decent brewpub/restaurant with more than ample seating area. The food is solid, as is the beer. Unfortunately, when we visited they were out of most of the interesting beer I wanted to try. If you are in the area, it is worth stopping in, but I personally wouldnt make a special trip to stop here.

Uptown Charlotte brewpub/restaurant. This place is huge with a big bar and lots of seating. The food was pretty good, nothing that really stands out but it was solid. I had the Randolph Red Ale and Sweet Magnolia Brown Ale and I’d say they were decent at best. Would have liked to try some others. It’s worth a visit.

Went here when I lived in NC. Went to panthers game. Has there own brewery, and not bad at all. Had the fire craker ale, pretty good. Good selection of food, and has pool tables and dart boards. Good size bar with a huge selection of beer. Fox and Hound is across the street if your looking for something a little more low k.

Big brewpub in the upscale, uptown area. Parking can be a hassle as we learned. The service is efficient and everything is spacious enough. I didn’t find anything really exciting on draught on my visit, but it was all okay. Didn’t eat here on this visit.

This is a decent brewpub. The food was very good as well as most of the beers. I’d stay away for the pilsner. I think it had a seafood aftertaste. I’d have to say it was the first beer I have ever had with an aftertaste like that. I really enjoyed their red and browen ales. I would definately check it out if our downtown.

Typical Fridays, Bennigans, Chile’s decor. Menu is a little more regional. Ribs were ho hum. I tried the IPA which was good, not remarkable. A cask conditioned beer called St. Arnold’s (ironic being from Houston) spiced with ginger and a higher dose of hops was very nice. This is actually a Gordon Biersch place with the Rock Bottom name. Over all good food and beer. Worth checking out.
