2 reviews for Rockmans Beer Island
| tomciccateri (37), Albuquerque, New Mexico | | August 2, 2009 Mall location but interior setting more of a Bavarian theme (flags, banners, pendants). Small stone bar with stools. Dark grained wooden tables and chairs. Dark wooden paneled walls with a view into the mall’s upper level. Flatscreen television without sound. Non-smoking!
View of the shiny copper German brewhouse and two sets of four stainless steel tanks.
No samples available, only 0.5l and 1.5l glasses. Short selection of German-style food. All four beers not always available. Uncrowded even on a Friday "happy hour". A welcome reprieve from rice-based light lagers. | | madsberg (35), Søborg, Denmark | | April 25, 2009 First brewpub in India. Went to the Bavarian part of the place, but basically you can get the 4 beers in every of the 5 outlets. The place was packed on the Saturday evening I was there. Eventhough service was excellent, and eventhough the servant wasn’t too knowledgable about how the beers were brewed, he was nice and very attentative. The beers is a tad better than the other brewpub in Gurgaon, but pretty much "same same". Is served in prober glassware. If in Delhi, you should definately go here for some beers. As for Howzatt this is definately not the best beer you’ll find in the world, but at Indian beers standards this is top notch. |
