| nbutler11 (72), Phoenix, Arizona | | September 26, 2009 Set up quite similarly to Four Peaks in Tempe with an area to sit at outside and a number of TVs to keep patrons updated on scores. Friendly service, but no one seemed to know much about the beer other than the commercial descriptions. Relaxed environment with a cool decor. | | ajm (163), Los Angeles, California | | February 25, 2009 Not my first stop in AZ, but the only place I usually get to see EJD, so worth the trip. Kinda small and stuffed-in but that’s cool - the woodwork makes up for it. Selection is okay - certainly not backwoods, but haven’t kicked into barrel aging or super-craziness. Good local. Good people. | | Bockyhorsey (52), Mesa, Arizona | | January 19, 2008 The food was excellent but it took forever for our waitress to take our food order after our beverage order. Had the beer sampler platter. The glasses were good sized (maybe about 6 oz) so you got a good taste of each of the beers. Their regular beers were average and the seasonal was great! They also have several guest taps. Our waitress was knowledgeable about their beers. This place use to be a bank and they still have the vault and some of the bank boxes as part of the ambiance. | | hellbilly (64), scottsdale über alles, Arizona | | October 13, 2007 [ Updated June 30, 2008 ] this place just opened up. it’s very shiny and untarnished. they have a limited food menu (for now) that is decent enough to munch on and watch football. service is a bit lacking as they weed out the wannabes from the real professionals. the beer is good... when it’s available..............
8 months later... no problems on a sunday evening. seems most of the kinks have worked themselves out. seven brews on tap, big ’ole menu, half pints and live music (even though he made everything sound bad. how can you ruin johnny cash?). lots of potential here... |
