Uaru02 (1), Simpsonville, Kentucky does not count | | October 3, 2008 Sergio’s is the go-to place for all your beer curiosities. Sergio is very freindly and plays host to many interesting people who travel from far and wide to imbibe delicious brews. Sergio always has interesting beer on tap that, plain and simple, you can’t get anywhere else. 700+ beers available as of 10/08. The food menu is large and a bit incoherent as no one ’style’ of food is fully explored by the kitchen. However, the Gyro and Cheese steak sandwiches are the mainstays and the best in the area! Expect personalized service by Sergio. If it’s busy, expect a longer stay to allow Sergio to make his rounds i.e. there’s room for improvement here. Atmosphere is relaxed and eclectic with great blues music softly playing in the background. The building is a little long in the tooth and the interior is rather used and cluttered but is easy to overlook once you settle in. I’m blessed to have such a great place nearby. | taps4taverns (1), , China does not count | | September 27, 2008 We had never been to a place quite like Sergio’s and we had a ball. Whether the place has only a few patrons or is crowded, Sergio seems to run the place single-handedly and he knows his beer! We’ll definitely be back.... a lot!
Sergio’s has an INCREDIBLE beer selection. Sergio knows more about beer than anyone I have met in my life. The food is fantastic and the conversation is always great. Gotta Love Sergio’s
Great place! Sergio knows his beer! Try the cheese steak. Get double meat if you dare.
This is simply the largest selection of beers I have ever seen or heard about. Serge is knowledgable and forthright. Sergio’s is definitely a place run by and for people who love beer. Enjoy!

It does define hole in the wall from the outside but inside awaits a magnificent beer selection and great food. The service was very prompt and the staff knowledgeable with the ability to make great beverage suggestions.
Was there on the weekend to find the place not packed like others. If you are ever looking for a good place to eat and drink you have to put sergio’s on your list. with close to 700 beers this place has the most beers for thousands of miles.
this place is the bomb. 630 beers-selection is the best in the state + others. food and beer are really good. the wontons and phillly chesee steak were realllly good and enjoyyed the price f them. if you like beer and a good bar crowd you have got to o to sergo’s.
Sergio’s isn’t much to look at, but it’s got the best beer selection for 100 miles. The neon sign is burned out, and the interior isn’t very enticing, but Sergio is a great guy and the selection (600+ beers) is incredible. I had a cheesesteak which was also very good. I had a couple great IPAs so I was pretty content. Unfortunately, local laws prohibit to go sales so you can’t get a growler. | tmongoose (7), Louisville, Kentucky does not count | | September 1, 2008 stopped in this past saturday evening. was greeted at the door by sergio, who ended up being our waiter, bartender and cook. sergio knows his beer. soft spoken and knowledgable i was in awe. i tried the mcchouff scotch ale, chimay tripple, palo santo all on draft and then a bottle of the quartre centenial. plus the rave about the philly steak and cheese is all that..was a wonderful sandwich. oh yea the beer was out of this world. i’ll be heading back there again and again. | troy_cecil (2), , Kentucky does not count | | July 31, 2008 This is simply the largest selection of beers I have ever seen or heard about.

Good parking in front. Clean older building with bar in the back with tables for food and beverages in the front. Standard and seasonals on tap and good selection of bottles. Freindly server, Sergio, with good knowledge of brews. Did not have food. I will stop again. | | TheBeerOrg (34), Kentucky | | February 18, 2008 [ Updated August 25, 2008 ] When first told about this place, I felt like I was being lied to. Surely if there was a place in Shelbyville with hundreds of beers I would have heard about it. Alas, my networking skills had failed me once again, and I had missed out on this gem for nearly 9 months. Since then, I’ve been many times, and my opinion of this place is quite positive.
Upon entering, even the most veteran beer geek will be amazed by the sheer amount of brewania lining the walls and ceilings. The main room is reasonably sized, with approximately 10 tables, and a large TV. Lining the walls are license plates from every state in the US, many flags, and dozens of beer glasses and tap handles.
The main room leads to a smaller beer bar where the density of brewania is even more extreme. Hundreds of empty bottles line the walls, are scattered across the bar. Many of these bottles are from Sergio’s personal collection, including a few very old Belgian beer bottles.
An unusual and interesting place. About 180 degrees different than Rich O’s. | BeerSophist (2), Louisville, Kentucky does not count | | August 29, 2007 The relaxed, humble environment belies the festival of flavor that is inside Sergio’s. With over 400 beers in stock and a bevy of food items to choose from, Sergio’s was worth the trek from Louisville. It is now second only to Rich O’s for beer lovers in the Louisville and surrounding areas. My friend’s spaghetti wasn’t the best, and sometimes service was a bit on the slow side (Sergio was the only waiter), but these are minor quibbles. Visit Sergio’s for great food and libations. | wheels69 (1), does not count | | July 30, 2007 i discovered this little "hole in the wall" about 3 weeks ago from the owner of richo’s, roger baylor. it is a new favorite. sergio is well knowledged in beer as he is a world traveler and regularly searches out new and hard to get brews. | Sambo40 (2), Shelbyville, Kentucky does not count | | July 25, 2007 Sergio has put together the best beer list I have ever seen. He has over 380 beers, In Stock! He is a passionate beer enthusiast and can talk beer with the best of them.
The place has a decent atmosphere, Sergio is the only full-time server. But if you want to drink great beer and eat tremendous food...check it out!!! Come see me, the Seven Footer...or visit my blog on food and beer at www.thesevenfooter.blogspot.com | View Page : 1 2
