Mid-way between Tanks and the Oregon District, South Park Tavern offers a fine selection of beer on tap or in bottles. The ambiance leaves a little to the imagination but with 18 taps and many more in bottles you’re bound to find something tasty. The barkeep was knowledgeable and very willing to offer tastes before you order a pint. Had a bunch of local/midwest beers as well as nice offerings from around the country. This is also a pizza joint and the pies are mighty fine. Ordered a large on friday evening and it was on our table in about 15 minutes max. Also offers free wifi, which was a nice surprise. I’m a big fan of this place.

Went back to Southpark Tavern the other day and was pleasantly surprised they had expanded their tap selection, from 6 to 18 taps! They now have the best selection of taps in Dayton. A lot of quality beers for you to choose from, as well as a very nice selection of bottles. Can you say Hopslam? This is quickly becoming the best beer bar in Dayton, which doesn’t offer much for someone who enjoys craft beer. I had a Founder’s Centennial IPA and a Rogue Chocolate Stout. The place isn’t extremely large and the bar is kind of small, but it’s a cool place with a friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Proper glassware would be nice instead of 16 oz and 20 oz glasses. The pizza is excellent to go along with some other "bar" food (ie. wings, poppers, etc.)
