went down to houston for a tasting with cavie and had to stop by for a tour. the setting is great. not to crowded and the lines move rather quick. have most of the SA on tap with the seasonal. will go back so i can get more of the 9 oz tasting glasses.

Fun place. Drove down for the Saturday tour; second to last one at the old location. Listened to a speech for the first 30 min and then got to drink. I wish they would let you get a beer first and THEN talk, but this worked too. Didn’t get to check out the brewhouse even though I reallllly wanted to. Picked up a cool tasting glass and got to try the Christmas ale on tap, as well as the root beer. Fun time, and it’s in a very nice neighborhood!

Fun place, 6 beers on tap, 5 bucks covers a cool tasting glass and 4 pours. Tip: get there an hour ahead, buy one of the pint glasses and you get 4 pints! Probably about 500 people show up.

This place was great when there were not that many people coming to the tour. When I first started going there was 100 or so on the tour. The last time it was 800. The place is way to small for this many people. Cannot wait for there big move in to the brand new place. Will be alot more room. I have been there plenty of times and will rate it towards my tours with less people. Brock stand up above the crowd and forces you to listen to a 30-45 minute speech on how beer is brewed. I like this approach. Make people curious about the beer. The selection is usually most of their regulars and a few seasonal depending on which time of year you go. Overall a nice place to visit.

What a boon to Houston this place is. Brock Wagner has been instrumental in bringing craft beers to Texas, not just Houston, so you should go if only to say "Thank You!" That being said, the staff is friendly, you can get some pretty cool swag if you bring in the cardboard carriers ( look on the site for #/ item of swag) the beer comes in. Heads up for those who want to make a pilgrimage to the original brewery - go soon, because it’s moving to a more central location. That being said, the new location will be air conditioned and will have much more seating!

I went with my father who was in town visiting for the weekend. I was suprised at the massive amount of people that showed up. Luckily we got there early and were able to get a table. For 5 bucks you get a taster glass and 4 wooden nickels good for sweet golden delicious beer. I had fun despite the horrible heat and perspiration wafting around the place. I am definately going to go back when it is cooler. Check it out if you get the chance.

Check out the Saturday brewery tour. It’s so popular now they started charging admission. Lots of people,(almost) free beer, and good conversation. Pack yourself a lunch for this party. Fun !!

First off, LOTS of people, get ready to stand in a non air conditioned warehouse (in hot houston i might add) and get ready to sweat your ass off!!!! The day i went there was probably close to 350-400 people and everyone wanted that sweet sweet beer.. But if you can take all that in stride and actually find somewhere to sit (impossible) you will actually start having fun! Most people were up for a good chat and the employee’s really seem to enjoy there work! Overall, since this place has become SOOOOOO popular its appeal has lost ground, but if you wear something cool and bring a snack, you should have some fun! and $5 for a taster glass and 4 beers, not that shabby..but buy a pint and get more bang for your buck! I will frequent again but probably in winter! ...Went with mark, omar and the rest of the crew...

Went on a Saturday tour. You get 4 tokens to sample their beers, but if you buy a Saint Arnold’s glass, your token will fill that up instead of the smaller sample glass that is free. People there were very friendly, and the beers were tasty. People actually brought their lunches with them to eat with their free beer. Definitely hit if you are in Houston.
