Good stuff. Especially enjoy their oatmeal stout and cask beers. The Hop in the City and Oyster and Stout Festivals are great events.

Low key joint in an old building full of dark wood and brick. A large window looks in at the fermenters from the main bar. Full of locals on a Monday night. Nice list of taps with a couple cask offerings. Seems to feature live music. Food was very good with some unique options on the menu. Bar sevice was efficient.

One of my favorite hang outs when I am in town. Always a plethora of beers ranging in a very wide array of styles. Seating is easy and always plenty. Food is fantastic and if you crave a more artistic, flavorful and filling meal then look no further. Events run by Schlafly, like their oyster festival in early May or the mussel festvial in late July, weekly get togethers to discuss and broaden your views on different aspects of the world are very inviting. The recent biking event seemed to be a hit and helps in promoting local interactions with the common goal of good beer. Atmosphere at the aged location is fantastic. Beautifully worn wooden planks underneath, clean lounges, comfortable for all season and get together, whether professional or casual. A fine assembly of their premium brewed beers are on hand to purchase. Service is always busy but always willing to help with questions you may have about their offerings. List of beers is displayed on the wall, along with release dates for up coming brews as well as a list of cask ales up at the main bar. Prices on everything are very modest and some items on the menu seem to cheap for what they are offering. Overall a terrific place to take in a beer or three with a relaxing ambiance and superb value.

Otherwise known as the Schalfly Tap Room (I thought this would be the Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood). Fantastic old building with a nice atmosphere for eating and drinking. The food is way beyond what you’d expect in a run-of-the-mill bar/restaurant or brewpub. Schlafly is diligent about using local farms and high-quality ingredients. I need to try their beers again because it’s been a little while, but I remember liking the Bourbon Barrel Stout a lot. This is one of my favorite places to eat and drink when I’m back home in St. Louis. Excellent location between Downtown and Midtown, so it’s close to everywhere.

Great place. Great beers in an old building downtown. Great new chef and new food. Their selection of beer is much larger than the bottleworks. Worth the trip.

Great place to drink some Schlafly beers, fresh. Food is great, and service has always beer tops. Been there several times and have never had a bad experience! Scottish night rules!!

I’ve had mixed experiences here. First time here was really wonderful, the second time was less than impressive. I’ve had very good service and I’ve also had very bad service. Some of the beer is really strong, some are less so. I’d certainly go back and I think they’re brewing some good beers, but there are things I think they could work on, too.

I stopped in with my family for lunch. The building is kind of cool. The service was fine. My Cuban sandwich was really good. The problem was the kids food. We were not provided a children’s menu when we were seated, so I asked about it. The server said the have grilled cheese and chicken tenders which I thought was perfect because that is all my kids eat anyway. The grilled cheese was white cheader on some sort of French or Italian bread. That may be fine for me and you, but not for a 3 year old. The chicken the was served to my 7 year old was the most bland trash ever. If you have kids in tow, got somewhere else.

I’ve been to Schalfly Bottleworks multiple times but I have never made it over here until now. The non-smoking aspect of bottle works gives that one a leg up, IMO, since the first thing I did when I walked in the building was taste and smell the smoke. Luckily, they had a non smoking area that had a very impressive list of house beers with a pair on cask. I only had time for one, but wished I could have stayed for more - even with the rude bartender.

A great St. Louis brewery/pub. The food has really improved in the past year (it was good before). Their beer selection is better than the Bottleworks. Definately a place to hit when you are in St. Louis and want some great beer.
