andersand (9), Malmö, Sweden does not count - explanation | | August 18, 2009 This place used to be great with a big bottled selection maintained by a knowledgable and enthusiastic sommelier, however that has changed and the list has schrunk drastically. Food is ok, service is as you would expect from a restaurant quick and proffesional, ambience is rather nice even though the acoustics are horrible (the backyard is great.) This place went in the wrong direction alittle over a year ago and it doesnt look like that is about to change, too bad. | | Todeon (12), , Sweden | | September 2, 2008 Nice cozy backyard. Had very few taps on my last visit there. Extensive bottle selection with some rare beers from belgium and great britain. Good place to go to in Malmö if youre a beerlover. | | fiulijn (198), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | November 8, 2007 [ Updated June 9, 2008 ] The place opened at the end on 2006 on the site of the infamous Louisiana the interior didn’t change much, it looks nice, even if it may become quite noisy with just few people...
I like the idea of putting a couple of books (beer books and photo or architecture books) on the counter. I enjoyed the beer collection: a new Samuel Adams Hallertau Imperial Pilsner, NC Rasputin Imperial Stout, SN Bigfoot Barleywine...
The lineup includes a quite full range of Nynäshamns, a couple more of Sierra Nevada and some others. They may have also Dugges, Ocean and Nynäshamn on draught but not when I visited the place.
This brings up to 3 or 4 the number of places where it’s possible to drink a decent beer in Malmö. I tried some food and I was not impressed, despite the care they they seem to put into it. The menu choice is questionable, the risotto with almonds is shallow, the side of spinach too salty, the chocolate cake sad. On the other hand some ’cod’ fish was very good, and the sage-butter a splendid idea. |
