| Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | November 6, 2009 Visited Oct. 23 2009, although I visited this place a few times before. Classy location in an old turn of the century buidling, high ceilings, very old fashioned, good food in general (ruben sandwich is deli !). Sad thing, 50% of patrons drinking Bud Light or other macro shite. Friday night was 2.50$ for a pint. Beer is hohum, although last time, the Pale Ale was quite decent. | | williamherbert (16), Syracuse, New York | | July 27, 2009 I don’t go here often because their house beers are quite subpar (one of the few bars where I actually left a beer unfinished). It is kind of like a big warehouse with a lot of cavernous space and TVs. The service is usually pretty good, except one time I went and the server was a real asshole to someone who had basically begged me to go there. The food is actually not bad at all, and their burgers are pretty decent. It’s a one-stop place, not the place you want to stay all night. | | zdk (24), New York | | May 17, 2009 Came with a large group so we got great service, considering one waitress. Got pitchers of the Honey ale, which i was liked well enough. My Fish ’n chips were decent.
I wasn’t paying for food/drink, so it was a great value to me. | | Rastacouere (475), Montréal, Quebec | | September 24, 2008 Huge one-room bar with patrons that are mostly 40ish something men, bald and with glasses, ultimate living room athlethes. The two beers tried were awful examples of their style. We did not finish them and were happy to leave as quickly as possible. The food did not look appetizing. | | Glouglouburp (214), Montreal, Quebec | | May 11, 2008 Kind of a sports bar feel with almost about 10 tv screens. Sits about 70. 4 taps of their homebrews. Also some guess beers but these were macros and friends (they had Molson Canadian Light!!!). Music was like a Worst-Of-FM-Radio-Crap… painful. Crowd looked like the losers who didn’t feel like they were welcomed at the Empire Brewing next-door. I got hit on by a girl that was heavier than me, she was impressed cause I had a laptop. Their beer was crap. Depressing. | rustbucket0873 (5), Krikville, New York does not count - explanation | | March 17, 2008 the beers are not that great, but it is a nice little bar, nothing special here. But the food it good | | hoplover406 (24), Crofton, Maryland | | March 1, 2008 This place is WIERD. Their beers are not really worth mentioning...bland and flat. It’s a shame that with their location and space they’re not doing a better job. I never consider this place anymore when thinking of places to go out to eat at. | | Dansting (114), Overland Park, Kansas | | June 29, 2007 Everything about this place was average, except that the service was decent considering that there was only one bartender and one waitress. Value wise, this place was great. The six-beer sampler was only $3, and the food was decently priced as well. They have outdoor seating as well as a wide-open inside, both clean and pleasant, but nothing special. I visited this while in the Syracuse area visiting the in-laws, and I’d go back when I come back to the area. | SwedeDog (5), Windsor, Connecticut does not count - explanation | | November 20, 2006 Came here because we needed a place to watch the OSU-Michigan game after the UConn-Cuse game ended. This one had the game on, so we went. Like others have said, it’s very cavernous. It’s almost like it can’t decide if it wants to be a sports bar or a single’s hangout. They have TVs with various games on, but they’re small and hard to see from across the room. Food was pretty good, beer wasn’t. Service was friendly and a little knowledgeable: Me: "Do you have an IPA?" Waiter: "No, the closest we have is Victory Hop Devil." Se la vie. | | GonZoBeeR (20), ste-Eulalie, Quebec | | June 10, 2005 The pub ave a good decoraction. But the service is bad.Beacause i am a french canadian the barman ignore me.And the beer at this place is very bad. |
