Gary (1), , England does not count - explanation | | October 1, 2009 [ Updated October 18, 2009 ] .From the handful of visits, Ive found the vibe friendly enough ,with usualy around 6 or 7 cask beers on and various Euro lagers . I attended their Yorkshire /beer festival in Febuary -an impressive 80 or so ales available -under a gazebo tent in the beer garden..... Not tried their food. | | rabidbarfly (12), London, England | | May 22, 2009 tRULY BAD SERVICE IN WHAT IS A GEM OF A PUB, THIS PLACE COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER BUT FOR THE STAFF.
GOOD BEERS THOUGH AND WORTH A PUNT IF YOU’RE DESPERATE. | | Svesse (92), Hässelby, Sweden | | January 20, 2009 (Visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon in late November 2008) Nice pub not far from the Putney Bridge (south side). Friendly and efficient service. On my visit they only had four Timothy Taylors beers (which is not bad), but there was plenty of room for guest beers. It seemed the place had been recently refurbished, with a smell of varnish hanging in the air and with new and clean toilets. It was a really slow afternoon (with Chelsea playing at home only a mile away), but enjoyable. Will visit again to see what happens on the guest beer front. Handy to combine with the White Horse in Parson’s Green. | | Rune (91), Tromsø, Norway | | May 9, 2008 Certainly the best range of ales from the Yorkshire brewery Timothy Taylor in London (three of them on during my visit), added several pumps for guest ales. Got the CAMRA award for the best London pub 2007. Horseshoe bar, grey-yellow panelled rooms, kirchenfenster, open fireplace, relaxing music and attentive barmaid. No food before 17.00. Has got their on beer festival in February. Informative and updated website. Well-run place. Highly recommended (18.03.2008) |
