[RBESG 2009]. Inside the Pub was pretty nice with a decent selection. For the festival they had a large tent outside. We had a great time and lots of (mostly average unfortunately) casks. The sausage i had was quite tasty and very cheap.

Very cozy place. Visited during RBESG 2009 when they had the Star Inn festival. Large tent outside, 40-ish caske beers. Too few places to sit sadly. Inside, there were about 10 casks on, all fine to high quality. Very friendly bar-staff and fine, low-priced food. And they have a cute dog running around as well as a cat, lying inside the actual bar. Perhaps not the nicest of neighbourhoods, but I suspect most of Huddersfield is a bit run-down.

Visited during RBESG 09, at their Summer beer festival. An impressive range of 70+ beers lined up in an improvised beer hall. The pub itself is typical beer pub, carpet on the floor, lots of dark wood, locals enjoying a good cask ale. Not the largest of pubs, but really cozy. Good selection of 10 regular taps, and a whole lot of guest cask ales, I’m not sure how many. Had a very nice evening here.
