Very authentic english style pub. 4 beer engines serving beer at the appropriate british temp. - room. Very good house beers all english styles. Prices are good given the high quality of the brews. did not try the food. Worth a stop if in fells point.

I suppose you can call this place homey, it is a relaxed atmosphere, better than the touristy stuff. The times I’ve been there they always have a good selection on tap...although I tend to walk away craving my daily dose of vitamin C to combat the scurvy.

Remember the show Homicide:Life in the STreet? This was one of the bars they used as a set. I have been going here for years. The selection of beers is always changing, I always end up with a heaping plate of steamed mussels that satisfies, and the 3 for 3 specials are killer. Yeas, it is divey, like it should be. The staff can be a little rough around the edges, but in a place like this, you aren’t there for the staff, you are there to pound beers and enjoy the company of your friends. This is the location you go to if you want to get away from the touristy crap in downtown. A lot of stuff in Fell’s Point has changed in the last 15 years, but it seems the Wharf Rat never will....and that is a good thing to be able to count on.

We ended up here after a confusing and underwhelming evening in Baltimore, never really find a place to settle in and appreciate the scene. This was the stop that put us over the edge, demanding a cab out of town. It attracted me with cask beer and wore me out with red lights and too much pirate decor. I think in a some way I might appreciate this place if I was in a more succumbing mood, but this place just felt ugly and worn, over-decorated and un-inviting. The service was curt. The beer fine. The atmosphere coarse. Meh.

A satellite location, with a good selection of Oliver’s amazing English style ales. This place has a jukebox, is close to all the other great Fells Point bars, and has that dive bar vibe that some of us love. However, if you’re looking for a meal and trying every beer they make, I would suggest going to the main location near Camden Yards, especially if you’re with the wife and kids. Then again, they’re close enough together to hit ’em both with the #10 bus!

Comfortable, grungy english pub atmosphere, complete with vague urinal scent, wood and bricks, and fry grease on the floor. Good bar service. Wide selection of english style nitro drafts and handpulls, for the most part well put together and interesting. Food is typical english pub offerings tending toward seafood. Freshly prepared grease bomb. Altogether this place is a really unique stop amongst american brewpubs, and they pull off what they’re going for pretty well a homey, authentic pub experience with some solid, unassuming interpretations of english styles to drink. Really glad I was able to visit.

Relaxed atmosphere, great ambiance, and a little less hurried than many of the busier Fells Point bars. Beers, for the most part, are English styles, including an ESB and best bitter that I crave as I type, but the brewer is doing other things as well. Nitros and cask conditioned selections also available. The 3 fer special is usually available, so you can get a good sampling on the cheap. Decent food, including a tasty oyster poboy. If you are in the area or doing a pub crawl, this one should be included.

It’s a quiet little place nestled in Fells Point Baltimore. So far I have been there twice and it’s been relatively quiet with not many people, though both times were in the afternoon. Pretty laid back staff and we could sit were ever we wanted. Food was bar fare and not a huge selection but good. Beer very well crafted and all there own. I’m sure this place gets packed at night on the weekends for the beer and atmosphere alone. Reminds me of an old sea side chanty home.

Elbow bumping tables but great cask conditioned ale. Food takes some time but is decently priced. A Fells point must. Tip well up front and you wont be forgotten.

A bar atmosphere - hardwood tables, not a lot of ambiance. Bartender friendly enough. All their own beers, but a nice diversity of syles. Unfortunately they were out of several I wanted to try. Food selection heavy on fried seafood. Took over an hour to get our food, but what we got was good.
