| bvc (18), Kenmore, Washington | | November 16, 2009 Visited this last weekend after HotD sale. First of all, this place is very tricky to find from the google map directions on my iPhone. Thanks to suzyg though, I finally found the place. Tucked away downstairs in a really cool older work loft style building. Walking in, you are literally in the brewery. Right in the front and to the left of me were barrels and a small tasting area. To the right is the brewery. Really cool spot were it seemed the norm to just walk around and check it out. The brewery is super clean and very efficient in the use of space. Really a cool layout. The tasting room was headed by a very nice woman that poured me a taster tray, good size tasters, of everything on draft...for $5. They also sell bottles, growlers and some shirts/hats. Solid place and I can’t wait to go back again. | | boFNjackson (54), Portland, Oregon | | September 6, 2009 This is great brewery addition to Portland. A new brewer not producing the expected NW style IPAs. The tasting room is open on weekends. Free samples of any of the 7ish house beers on tap. $2 for 12oz pours, plus reasonably priced growler fills. Alex is super nice to chat with and will tell you about all the beers of course. He has the kegs being poured in a little annex attached to the brewery, where there’s barrels aging some beers around a handful of tables. |
