The Victory is probably my 2nd favourite beer bar in Toronto. It’s not shinny and sofisticated, nor would I want it to be. It is a casual quaint rustic bar with great food, great beer, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. As an architect and beer aficionado, I would not change a thing.

This is a great, cozy, unassuming place in the Annex. There are usually interesting local draughts and sometimes casks available, and the food was really pretty good. Nothing wrong with going here in the winter, but really this place is wonderful in the summer when you can take advantage of their awesome patio. It’s nice to have a good beer location in Toronto that isn’t so expensive. There’s nothing exciting to choose beyond the local beers though. Cask festivals here are worth checking out.

Look - if you’re looking for a fancy place to take a first date, then you’re not gonna like Victory. It’s a cheap and cheerful place with awesome local beers and awesome food. The prices can’t be argued with and they always have something on cask. It’s potentially my favorite place in Toronto. Quite a laid back joint which embraces the craft beer drinkers without emptying your bank account! *hint hint beer bistro!* I love going here.

Last time I was here was back when I lived in the Annex and they did not have anything worth drinking on tap. Well, times have changed and this busy spot near Honest Ed’s has quite a few quality draughts. Professional service and a lively patio are bonuses.

Great outdoor patio that fills up fast. Thoughtful, local-focus tap selection and cask ales also available.

Kinda dingy inside, not as clean as you would expect. But the tap list was nice, and they had a firkin so that a plus! food was passable. Meh, i went once, and haven’t been back.

A very nice little bar in the Mirvish Village area of Toronto. They have a very good draft selection of Ontario microbrewers and have a rotating hand pump. The crowd tends to be a bit younger and from the artsy/hipster crowd as it is at the north end of the Annex neighbourhood, but its a great place to go for a Burger and a pint of very good beer.

Good service, surprisingly decent pub food, great prices, and an honest selection of local beers on tap. Characterful, no-BS atmosphere that’s conducive to jazz bands and even the occasional poetry slam. The crowd tends to be fairly young, geek-chic Annex types. A great default pub if you’re in this always-happening neighbourhood.

Very worthy Toronto stop with plentiful fresh regional Draught, and a respect for all things beer. General pub fare plus a few better options, fair prices. Nothing fancy but a warm atmosphere that makes it feel like a true Ale House rather than a hijacked storefront. Love the patio in summer, great location.

Have been here a few times, and apparently not rated. Service is friendly and nice, though you may sometimes need to flag them down if you are in a hurry to leave. Patio is pretty awesome, though I wish the whole thing was smoke free. I typically order the burgers or the drumsticks, both of which are nice - I really loved the dill dipping sauce for the potatoe wedges. Was actually a bit disappointed to find that it was a brunch menu late into the day on sunday - I was hoping for a burger. Bruch was adequate, the homefries were spiced up in a way that was just ok, portion was ample. Beer selection is quite good, with a good representation of the local breweries and a range of styles.
