| nearbeer (75), Knoxville, Tennessee | | July 17, 2008 [ Updated September 28, 2008 ] Great beer store in a suburban strip center with a Krogers as the anchor. Everything in singles. Nice staff that helps if you want, or leaves you alone to lust after the beer if you prefer (as I do). Definitely worth the 10 minute sidetrack off of I-81. | | changeup45 (30), Orlando, Florida | | June 25, 2008 Visited 6/19/08. A little hard to find and didn’t look like much from the outside with all sorts of construction going on but this place is excellent. The store itself is large compared to others I have been to with a great selection of beer and wine. The west coast is well represented here which was nice to see. Big bonus is pretty much everything is available as a single, whether it be a bomber, 12 ounce or whatever. I bought lots and could have easily bought lots more. They also sell online with a complete list of what they have. Overall one of the best beer stores I have been to! | | mar (20), Dallas, Texas | | June 8, 2008 Mail order: Awesome place for my first mail order ever. Great selection and they were very prompt about getting my box to me safe and sound. | | Walt (184), Chicago, Illinois | | June 6, 2008 Mail order: Terrific selection and wonderful service! I have ordered dozens of times from them ! Recommnded! | | bhensonb (244), Woodland, California | | March 10, 2008 Online order with email followups. Lots of items not commonly found on the left coast. 10 Bells/4 Brooklyns and others. Some beers were temporarily out, and it took two email exchanges to make up 24 for instant shipping, and they were very helpful with filling the holes. Shipping 3000 miles is reasonable when a 200 mile roundtrip is required to get to a beer store that carries some of the uncommon (1500 miles up and back to Bottleworks), given the price of gas and my truck’s mileage! Woud not hesitate to do again: in fact I will! Shipping and handling for 24 small bottles was $41, and the packing was double wall with peanuts between. Just excellent. | | hopdog (176), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | February 11, 2008 On-line order. Had a nice selection of beers I can’t get locally (with almost 4,000 ratings, that’s hard to find these days). Prompt service. They were out of 3 that I ordered, but no big deal. The web site could be a little more ’user friendly’. I will be ordering from them again. | LeMunche (1), Orland Park, Illinois does not count | | February 6, 2008 Made an online order. Only place I could find that sold Bell’s beers online and shipped to IL. Can’t give a perfect score only because the website didnt show that a certain beer was out of stock before I placed the order. However, I was contacted the next day and asked if I wanted to make a substitution or omit the one item. I asked to keep the order on file until it could be filled in full. I was kept updated (without having to contact them myself ) and then shipped the full order when it could be filled. Shipment was perfect. Beer was so well protected I think I could have dropped the box of my roof and not break a bottle. Good selection, great packaging, and I can’t say enough about the service. Thanks Scott. | wj94 (2), Virginia does not count | | January 14, 2008 Been a frequent buyer at Vintage Cellar for a couple years now. Great selection and always bringing in new seasonals. I’m not much of a wine drinker but their wine selections and closeouts are excellent, and there’s always some sort of beer or wine tasting going on. The staff is extremely knowledgable (I think Mr. Boyer has probably had all ~700 beers they stock) and always helpful. Prices are very reasonable for hard-to-find selections too. | | Hank1980 (33), Athens, Georgia | | December 25, 2007 [ Updated September 18, 2008 ] This is the best place in several hundred miles to pick up beer. Great selection of Bells and the other beers available in VA. Very friendly staff held a case of Expedition for me for 3 weeks (with payment of course). Nice store. They had some wine tasting going on when I ran through. A great place in a great town. | | tronraner (86), Maryville, Tennessee | | October 25, 2007 This is a wine store with a serious beer selection. The back of the store is pretty much all beer, divided geographically. There is an East Coast shelf, two West Coast shelves, a Belgian shelf, and a few small sections for several other areas. The one thing that really surprised me to find here was Russian River Damnation. But they have a pretty diverse selection, indeed. I could easily drop some serious money here. They have a good selection of glassware, too. Also there is cheese and, what really sold me on the place, hot sauce! I will definitely be stopping here again. Definitely worth the jog off 81 if you’re passing through. | View Page : 1 2 3 4
