Wellington Gastropub

Finally was able to go there after many attempt even though it was open but their kitchen closed at 3pm… had few interesting choices.

Visited on June 29, 2016, for lunch. Located in the heart of Hintonburg, on the street that bears it’s name, a very lovely upstairs restaurant with terrasse next to the entrance. Medium in size, warm decor, comfortable seating. The main attraction is food, with separate lunch and supper hours and there is a different menu for the two. Both are small and a bit pricey (less for the lunch menu), but worth the price. The beer menu is also not big, but mostly concentrated on the Ottawa region craft scene. In all, the Hintonburg neighborhood is a good beer destination!

Visited on a Saturday early evening, the place started to pack up. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, dark woods and brick walls. A dozen beers on tap, mostly seasonals from Ontario breweries and of course their Stock Pot Ales. Also a dozen bottles available, I didn’t care much. Food-wise, everything we had was fantastic (beef tartare, striploin, dessert). Service was spot-on. Not cheap by any means, but I can’t wait to go back.

Nice place and among the better in Ottawa. Too bad it’s so out of the way for me, otherwise I’d hit this up more often. Good selection of Ontario beers when I went with one of their own brews on tap. You can get flight samples of 6 for $9 - a great deal. Friendly service and cool atmosphere upstairs. Be warned they are closed on Sundays - first tried this place a few weeks back but it was closed. Will go back for sure.

Great service good food fair beer selection.

This place rocks! Probably the best place in all of Ottawa to find a continually updated selection of craft beers. Friendly and knowledgeable staff in a laid back atmosphere. If you're in Ottawa and a beer geek. This place is a must.

Nice gastro pub, food is pricy. Tap beer selection is good, but the Beaus and Kichesippi are kind of gateway style craft beers. The beers i tried on tap we’re the Spearhead Hawaiian Pale Ale and the Flying Monkeys SmashBomb Atomic IPA, which were great.

Pour diner. Belle sélection de bières en fût locales, service attentionné. Mon repas était excellent. Il devrait y avoir plus de ce genre de pub.

Great upscale place that manages to balance beer crowd with upscale food. Lots of great Ontario taps, their list wouldn’t be topped by too many in Ottawa. Food was pricey, but really good. Service was top notch.
