Not far from Towson, and just north of downtown Baltimore sits this great liquor store. Well lit and large, the store welcomes its visitors. Wide variety of wines and spirits, but that’s not why we’re here... on to the beer. At least 5 rows dedicated to craft beer, not including the cooler section. Vast array of Belgian/Belgian styles; lambics are well represented here with the likes of Cantillon and Boon. Also a rather large German and British selection; many German dopplebocks for me to try in the future! Prices aren’t bad, but I’m coming from PA, so... Helpful staff, nice location, great variety. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Baltimore.

Wells has a nice selection of beers ranging from macro to Trappist. The prices are pretty fair (somewhat more expensive than, say... Finger Lakes Beverages in Ithaca NY). The only knock is that a good number of the rarer stuff has been sitting there so long that it collects dust. Not really a bad thing if you are drinking craft brew with a ton of hops, but still slightly disconcerting.

Pretty nice selection and good prices. They have a few harder to find beers as well as all of the usual suspects from the area. The Belgian section in particular was very nice. Heavy dust on some of the bottles. I was asked if I needed help several times but the one time that I presented a question I was given a seemingly prefabricated response. I would visit again but probably won’t make a dedicated trip out of it.

Great liquor store. Wish it was just a bit closer. The only complaint I had at all was that when I went to a different beer store later that day, I found many of the same beers for about 1 to 2 dollars less per bottle. The prices seemed just a bit high, but the selection was magnificent.

Best selection in MD that I’ve seen. The prices are high on a good number of beers, but only because they know they are the only store in MD to carry the beer. They hire kids fresh out of school so the service is sometimes iffy, but you can usually catch a guy who knows something about beer. Chances are you know more than he does though, so why even bother asking anyone anyway though? The Belgians and German selection is amazing. Literally hundreds upon hundreds of them, and many fine Lambics to choose from, almost as if they specialize in all Lambics.

Place kind of looked like a hole in the wall. Good selection, particularly Belgians & Imports. Singles were a little light. Best place in this area I’ve seen. Staff was very helpful. Can easily find plenty of good beer here.

I grew up about 10 minutes from this many moons ago. It was always considered a great place for wine back then. I was recently in the area and stopped in to check it out after reading about it on RB. I picked up a few bomber bottles to try out and several 6 packs of things I liked and a Southern Tier variety pack. The selection was pretty good. I had no trouble find beer that I wanted to try that have been rated pretty highly on RB. The staff was pretty friendly. I had several people ask me if I needed help or was able to find everything I was looking for. They even took my purchases out to my car. I’ll be stopping back next time I’m in the area.

Great place. Wonderful selection, definitely the place to visit. Nice staff, but they aren’t trying to help, unless you’re buying wine it seems to me. The lack of singles for American beers is frustrating. There were some very nice bombers but not enough of them--the selection could be deeper here. It’s great with the Belgians (though much of the Belgian line seems to be available nationally, at least other places like Minnesota, where I’m from). I thought the real treat here was some particularly interesting German beers, actually.

Snowgoose and Snowballs chance now being liquidated at 12.00 a case. Really pissed that they do not have an Email list or website page to let me know when they get new product. Otter creek ESB is gone, was 16.00 a case. Speculating that they can’t advertise beer that may be past expiration date.
