| armando629 (36), Budapest, Hungary | | June 13, 2009 Nice SALM brewing-equipment in the pub. Friendly stuff and good ambience. We can not try the foods, because we was in a hurry, we’ve bought some bottles of WiedenBrau-sortiment. | | Celebrator (14), Vienna, Austria | | March 15, 2009 Currently they serve very good special brews as a Rauchbier (does not taste too smokey, but still very good) and an Easter-beer. On hot summer days the beer garden in the patio is a nicely refreshing place. | | MartinT (348), Montreal, Quebec | | January 9, 2009 Don’t let yourself be thrown off by the ugly logo and colours. This place is a fine brewpub! There are many rooms to choose from, a non-smoking section, hearty food, friendly and efficient service and moreover: good lagers. The Helles was my favorite when I visited. I wish more North American brewpubs cared for their house blond like brewpubs in this part of the world. There are other more stellar brewpubs in Vienna, but if you have a few days in the city don’t miss out on Wieden! | | ogivlado (139), Zagreb, Croatia | | January 4, 2009 Not so difficul to find, at the evening was quite busy and loud although there was no music. OK beers, friendly staff, take away beers. | | downender (116), Bristol, England | | October 7, 2008 Visited 30/9/08. Great beers: the Marzen, Dunkles and Hanfbier were all excellent and outstanding value at E1.70 during the happy hour (1500-1700). My schnitzel was also enjoyable and the service was efficient. Well worth visiting. | | Theis (73), , Denmark | | August 10, 2008 Bistro-like interior - rather boring. Wooden benches in booth. OKplain beers. 4 different (Helles, Märzen, Dunkel and fanbier (Euro2008). Friendly staff, talking english. Lots of old people in suspenders smoking pipe. OK Food. | mollyj (2), does not count - explanation | | September 11, 2007 Hanfbier may be the best beer ever | | Rastacouere (475), Montréal, Quebec | | July 26, 2007 In a small street just out of the center. The 4 beers were well made. The terrace is fine, quiet and the service, friendly and smiling. The food looked good on other customers´ plates. I could stay on that terrace for a while. Above average for Vienna I would say and calmer. | | spporras (21), , Finland | | January 17, 2006 [ Updated December 17, 2007 ] A brewpub located rather close to the Vienna University of Technology within walking distance from Karlsplatz (subways U1, U2 and U4). Corner pub atmosphere, very friendly service, background music, Austrian food, non-smoking area, patio and beers also available to take away. The house beers on tap in December 2005: Helles, Märzen, Hanfbier, Gemischtes, Bock, Hefeweizen and Radler. In December 2007: Helles, Märzen, Hanfbier, Dinkel (special) and Radler. |
