| ben4321 (44), Rockville, Maryland | | December 7, 2009 Really solid store located in a strip mall that hasn’t changed much in years. Probably hadn’t been inside this store in at least 5 years, until I ventured in the Thursday after Thanksgiving looking for some beers at Richmond prices to bring back with me to MD. I wound up having a great trip. Picked up a bunch of Founders and Bells stuff along with some various other one offs. The guy working there was very nice, always offering to help, and offering to make singles out of anything that might only be in 6s. I’ll visit this store again, probably in less then 5 years this time. | crzybob77 (2), Richmond, Virginia does not count - explanation | | April 1, 2009 This is my favorite beer store in the Richmond area. Even when I lived in the Fan, I would make a trip out to the West End to pick up some brews from Westpark. The staff is great, prices are reasonable, and the selection is impressive. And, now that I think about it, I actually bought my first legal bottle of beer in this store, and the owner decided to throw in a free DFH Worldwide Stout to celebrate my new legal drinking status. | | dkachur (114), Charlottesville, Virginia | | April 22, 2008 Very friendly and helpful people and a damned fine selection of brews. Phenomenal sales while I was there, and a lot of stuff I’d been looking for. Good prices. Stop here. | | Butters (151), Virginia | | February 11, 2008 Nice open store layout. Impressive selection of beer. This is first shop i’ve been in that truly lives up to the name of Wine & BEER. They do a nice job of splitting the store evenly between wine and beer. I found many beers that have been harder to find in the Richmond area. | hopslammed (1), does not count - explanation | | June 29, 2007 Great selection. If there’s a beer you want and it can be obtained from a distributor, Matt will work to get it for you. Better prices than the other comparable stores. It’s a bit out of my way, but worth the trip. | luv2brew (1), Chesterfield , Virginia does not count - explanation | | February 24, 2007 Probably the best selection around. These guys will talk to you and they are honest. It they don’t know, they will tell they don’t know. I can’t stand when a person tells you the beer is great, but they can’t tell you why. They will also let you break up a six pack if they don’t offer it in singles. Great Belgian selection along with a huge amount of west coast micros around. There is no place in the area that has as many Stone beers around. They always seem to have some rare ones around. Highly recommended! | BeerLover101 (1), does not count - explanation | | September 2, 2006 their selection is ok compared to other stores..
found some other beer store in richmond where selections is great and larger and even cheaper...
probably i wouldnt shop quite often...as i though | | Magjayran (22), Durham, North Carolina | | June 9, 2006 Pretty nice place outside of Richmond. Large selection of US Micros and impressive imports. Prices were a little lower than another shop I’d been to earlier that day. Found a style I hadn’t tried yet and a beer that I’d been looking for. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area. | | Numenor (20), Richmond, Virginia | | February 24, 2006 Great place in Richmond to go when on beer runs. Matt (the owner) is very helpful and easy to deal with. Quite often if he gets in a beer that you like, but is of limited quantity he’ll put stuff aside for you and hold it. Great place to shop, selection is always changing and interesting to browse. | GreenDragon (9), Richmond, Virginia does not count - explanation | | February 20, 2006 Large selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff. What more can one ask for? Oh yeah, lots of singles! |
