Great little bar in trendy West Chase but fun. Probably the best selection of beer in Tampa. It’s a great place to go mingle and meet new people and they alway’s have something going on. I wish they had food but you can order in from the restaurants close by and they will deliver. Service is alway’s good and th ebeer is always cold. Take your wallet it’s not cheap.

Kind of a shot gun feel when you walk in. Clean place, almost to the point of being sterile. Loud when there is a band or game. The band was good, but nobody was controlling the "kids" that were watching the band. I hate strip mall (or mall) establishments for the most part, but now that there are other offerings in the area, I don’t visit this place as much. Hate to keep falling back on the term canned, but it applies here. When I was younger I would call them sell-outs. There isn’t a passion for beer here, there is a passion for making money and it has begun to show. The have a decent selection at okay prices, but there is not a loyalty to beer or beer drinkers like you find in other places.

I’ve been to WOB several times while visiting the Tampa area. As previously mentioned, the location is somewhat odd, but overall not too bad. At least I don’t have to worry about getting mugged on the way to my car. I really enjoy the interior of this place. It has the modern elements of exposed brick and steel. There is also a neat little loft that you can rent. Being from the Midwest, I really liked that the back wall opens up to a patio, giving that indoor/outdoor feel. The tap selection is very good, and I had no trouble finding several things I wanted to try. The crowd (weeknight) was mostly young professionals and some middle-aged guys. Several nice large TVs for sports, etc. Bartenders all seemed really cool and service was quick. I really enjoy this place and, while maybe not quite as great as OTH, it serves its purpose well.

I visited this place on a trip to Tampa in November of 2008. The location is quite strange...in a strip mall across from an elementary school. They have a nice cooler with many different beers and some relatively uncommon ones. Nothing crazy rare, but also plenty to choose from if you wanted to get some to go. The taps had a very good variety. Being from the West Coast, I thought the selection was quite solid. The service was great and the glassware was appropriate. The place was not too busy, but in all fairness I was there on a Monday afternoon/evening. They even had complimentary pizza during the football game. It was also weird ordering food from the nearby food places via cell phone. They just delivered my food to my barstool. The ambiance of this place is not overly warm and it lacks character. I don’t really care--I mean it’s in a fucking strip mall, what do you expect? The bathroom was relatively clean. A cool joint, but I suppose I could see how some locals may get sick of it.

Visited on a Saturday night in September. Great selection of beer in bottle. Decent on tap. Local college game on TV and was dominant noise in bar. Bar tender was very helpful and seemed interested to have someone who actually cared about the beer. Tried multiple beers I had not had before. Food is available from cell phone order to adjacent restaurants. Sushi was better than average and delivered to our table. Would go again, but far from home.

Another great pub! Wish it would lean more to a pub and not to a club type atmosphere. Always have fun whenever I visit!

been here several times now and it’s a mixed bag. they seem to be out of things I’d want quite often and don’t have anything on tap that’s hard to find in florida. the bartenders talk a good game, but weren’t that knowledgeable overall. and sometimes it is more like a club scene. so what’s good about the place? well... they have a bunch of different beers.

We have visited this beer bar dozens and dozens of times in the last 14+ months since it was first opened in 2007. During the early months, this was one of the best places in Tampa to drink exceptional beer and take a few home. However, over the past 6 months WOB has turned into a more of a nightclub that caters to young, rowdy patrons who have little appreciation of beer. After a 3 month hiatus, we decided to give WOB one more chance on a recent Friday afternoon. What a mistake. The place was packed early in the evening, and the music was cranked so loud that I could barely give my order to the server or talk to anyone. Naturally, given that the music was so loud most people were screaming at each other, thus further detracting from the ambiance. The tap selection has deteriorated as well over the past 6 months, and I noticed that there was not one beer on the menu that I had to have because of its rarity or because I couldnt obtain it somewhere else. Given that the Oldsmar Tap House is not far from WOB, I’ll drive the extra few minutes to have truly exceptional beer in an environment devoid of blaring music and TVs where I can engage with others doing the same. Too bad, as this place had a lot of potential when it first opened, but unfortunately, the current owners have chosen what I consider the wrong path.

A little corporate, but what a selection. Cool setting with comfortable seating inside or out. Out door window to the bar. If you are in the area you must go see!
