| Svesse (26), Hässelby, Sweden | | September 3, 2008 Definitely the best Systembolaget store in Stockholm. Big selection of beer, lots of it is quite uninteresting, but they stock a fairly large selection of interesting beers and they do get some very interesting rarities a couple of times every month (they’re normally sold out they same day). Prices are actually quite decent, especially for the rarer stuff. Staff could be quite busy and the beer skills range from excellent to not so excellent. | | rlgk (79), Motala, Sweden | | March 12, 2008 One of three Systembolaget in Sweden with the most available beers. You can get quite alot of different beers from various countries, but the service often is terrible. The staff seem uninterested and I dont think they know that much about beer at all. | | larsga (101), Oslo, Norway | | July 10, 2007 Good beer store, but not terribly impressive. A lot of the beers are the same Swedish micros you find everywhere else (basic Jämtlands, Slottskällans, Nynäshamn, and Nils Oscar beers). The rest of the selection is also pretty standard, although there are some exciting beers. And, of course, an ocean of pointless industrial pale lager of various strengths.
The store itself is big, spacious, well lit, and the service is perfectly fine. | | Rastacouere (408), Montréal, Quebec | | May 29, 2007 I was told this was the best store in Stockholm. it might certainly be, they have perhaps 200 different beers, mny swedish micros. I found pretty much half of hat I had noted from their website, most others being seasonals. If it’s on the shelves at the moment, chances are it will be here. | lgklotet (5), Stockholm, Sweden does not count | | December 4, 2006 Frequent this establishment on a regular basis, this is Systembolaget at their best. Very uneven though, a couple out of the staff are helpful and know what they’re talking about.. the rest don’t. Selection is wide.. when it comes to lagers.. shitty lagers. Every month however, they usually recieve shipments of interesting stuff, like that one time they had a 10 years old Lindeman Lambic for 5 euro.. 75 cl bottle.. Times like that makes this place worthwhile. | | oh6gdx (61), Vaasa, Finland | | August 15, 2006 Been here several times. Always lots to carry away... Been here 4-5 times already, and always some unrated beers to take back home... And also usually some "rarer" things to put in storage for some bigger happenings in life. | | Ungstrup (209), Frederiksberg, Denmark | | October 18, 2005 Huge selection - but the only realy news I found was Swedish lagers. As a ticker I should be happy - but it doesn’t make me over joyed. But then again I picked up a the last bottle of Cantillon Goldackerl Gueuze - at 80 USD. | | fiulijn (180), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | September 26, 2005 I visited in September 2005, the selection is not better than the Systembolaget Hansa in Malmö; the only "exceptional" beer they have is Deus
Yes, the selection is wide, but mainly common beers; nothing special about the Swedish micro, nor rare beers... | | sayravai (82), Helsinki, Finland | | July 30, 2005 Been here twice now for Swedish (and other) brews. Both times there was more than I could carry, so can’t complain. The shop is quite well laid out, and the selection is at least adequate (for now :). Recommended for anyone hanging around the Stockholm city center. | bark (4), Linköping, Sweden does not count | | March 14, 2005 [ Updated March 15, 2005 ] This is one of the three shops that the service department at Systembolaget (the Swedish state liquor shop) recommends for the beer connoisseurs, as they should have the largest selection and most educated staff.
It is located just behind NK, Sweden’s most fashionable department store. The wine cellar is said to be among the 20 best in the world.
The selection is quite large: Today, 298 brands of beer are available. Some of them are only offered at this store; when the buyers at the Systembolaget sometimes get their hands on a really small lot of beer (like 100 bottles), they are typically sold at this shop.
I visited the store on a Friday morning; there were lots of staff around, most of them unpacking wine or trying to open the front door entirely. When I asked a young woman at the beer department which beers that were uniquely sold at this shop, she replied something like “I don’t know, check the catalogue”. As a former employee, I know that they can access that kind of information, but she wasn’t interested in helping me at all.
After some strolling round the bright and discreet shop, I found some interesting brews by myself. I tried to talk to another member of the staff that was more willing to help. Sadly, I was informed, all of the lambics that I was looking for was completely out of stock. | View Page : 1 2
