| lithy (97), Knoxville, Tennessee | | June 30, 2009 Great over six selection, better than Riverside. Small little store but plenty available in singles mostly. Picked up a few things had a chat with the guy working who convinced me to grab a Saint Somewhere Saison Athena. Prices seemed more competitive than the under six grocery side. | | Butters (150), Virginia | | June 30, 2009 Stumbled in here after noogfest. The manager was really cool and let me in to check out the selection even though he couldn’t sell me anything due to it being a sunday. Pretty small selection, but the store is really tiny, and apparently, has most everything available in the Noog. I was impressed to see the imperial tommyknockers. And the low-alc side has a good selection, so this is definitely the place to a stop. | | NachlamSie (211), Tennessee | | March 30, 2009 This is the high alcohol side of Greenlife which due to TN laws has to be seperated from the actual grocery store. There is a fellow who has been working every time I’ve been here. He is very knowledgable about the products, friendly, and helpful. The selection is the best as far as over 6% beer goes in Chattanooga. Check my rating for Greenlife for anything else I may have missed. | | brentfeesh (62), Gadsden, Alabama | | September 3, 2008 [ Updated July 28, 2009 ] I stumbled across this place as I was trying to look for a new grocery store in Chattanooga. This store is right in the middle of a new brick shopping complex just up the road from River Side Spirits. It’s attached to the grocery store (green life I think), but is separate and it is fairly small. However, what he is offering more than makes up for the size. He has a very nice selection of high end spirits and what appears to be a thoughtful selection of wines. The beer selection is as good as I’ve seen in Chattanooga. He really has an excellent selection of brews from overseas and has worked hard to get the local distributors to improve on the selection of available US craft brews. At the time I went, he had obtained some excellent offerings from Stone, a rare Scotch Ale release from Mean Time, and many other goodies too long to list. The Manager, Chris, was helpful, knowledgeable, and is really on his game. You won’t fine a better store right now in Chattanooga. |
