3 reviews for Tremont Tavern
| suddenlyissoon (13), Chattanooga, Tennessee | | May 2, 2008 The Tavern is a pretty nice little place to get a beer. The location of this place is both one of its strongest suits, as well as its downfall. It’s on the corner of Hixson Pike & Tremont Ave which is far enough away from downtown to keep the tourists away (the good) but also far enough away that locals who want to be downtown normally can’t/won’t make it back to (the bad). They’ve just recently added the Moccassin Bend Brewing Company to their selection so hopefully their support of the newest local microbrewery will help them out. | | Shag (35), Chattanooga, Tennessee | | March 15, 2008 I went here tonight. And I must say this is a really cool pub. A rather small place but not cramped either. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was also very good. Of the 10 taps only one was swill. And most of the 140 bottles were quality beers. They do keep limited swill on hand but not very much. The food and beer prices were very reasonable. Tonight was a $3 special for 8 wings. The pints of Sweetwater were also on special for $3.50. They certainly do as good as you can expect in the area. A classy place! I will definitley be going back | reddragon (1), Chattanooga, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | December 28, 2007 I admit to being an employee, yet I find that Tremont is what we all really would want in a bar a cool local place where you can choose from a wide variety of beer offerings, eat a great burger, and hang out with others from your neighborhood. This is not a meat market, and you don’t have to worry about smoke or sleaze. Watch those bathroom locks though. |
