Totally average store in Knoxville, standard bottles, standard prices. Nothing to go out of the way for.

About thirty or so 6% abv and up beers as singles. Nothing I haven’t seen elsewhere in Knoxville, and the prices seemed the same. Not worth a stop unless you are stocking up on below 6% beers at World Market next door, where they have a much wider selection and all in singles.

Run of the mill liquor store with the typical Knoxville selection. One exception: they somehow got Stone Vertical Epic 07.07.07, which I purchased there for 6.99 per, minus a ten percent discount for some reason. Maybe their beer status is on the upswing.

When I walked in I asked the lady at the register where the beer was. She said they did not sell beer, and then the other lady corrected her and said she thinks it’s over "there". Sure enough, a small selection at the end of one of the rows of shelves. Some Stone, Great Divide, Corsendonk, Mendocino... Damn these TN beer laws. On a side note, if you are a Sake lover they did have selection of Sake about as big as they did over 6% beers.

Pretty decent wine and liquor store if you can curb your road rage at the Walmart traffic. Staff is friendly and happy to assist. Usually around ten or twelve 6+% beers... Stone, Mendocino, Celebrator, Corsendonk, DT, stuff like that. Wine section is "organized" by variety and/or/country and/or bottle size. You can get to Earthfare (about 100 yards east via connecting parking lots) to shop for under 6% beers.

Slim selection but the only places I had to compare it to were Green’s in Atlanta and the Asheville Wine Market. They had about a dozen beers to choose from but did have what I thought was a decent selection of Stone but only bombers no sixers of anything. The guy said that they are struggling to hold on to the beer because the distributors jerked them around constantly.

Typical Knoxville liquor store - completely at the whims of distributors, as far as beer goes. Otherwise, a very nice liquor store. one thing of note - although I don’t know much about sake, this place seemed to have a surprisingly large selection.

The Turkey Creek shopping center is probably the best stop for beer. In it are two liquor stores and one grocer that has a fairly decent selection of 6% abv beers. This wine & spirit store is currently the best for high alcohol in Knoxville, but that may change as all liquor stores’ beer selections wax & wane dramatically. For the past few months, this store has kept its 20 or so beers well stocked and has a few Belgians that I haven’t seen elsewhere in the city. The beers that one can find in Knoxville seem to be completely random, so it’s always a good idea to stop in if in the area just to see what they’re selling at the time.
