July 31, 2009 I am very particular about what I decide to add to Nashville’s places section. This place deserves to be on here. This store located next to Trader Joe’s (which carries their own line of contract seasonal beers FYI) in one of the busiest sections of Green Hills. Traffic sucks at all hours of the day and I dread the though of driving there. On the plus side, this store treats beer with respect by placing it in separate room with the Scotch. Total upscale ambiance and proper dim indirect lighting (hey midtown, take note). The beers are all neatly organized on the shelves for easy browsing and the prices are right in line with everyone else in town. Due to TN laws, they only carry beers above 6.2% abv. Expect to find Stone, Terrapin, Schlafly, etc. , as well as Belgian and European stuff. There is also a small selection beer in a cooler that is located in a different room, in case you want it cold. Worth a visit for sure if you can deal with the traffic. Whole Foods is close by in case you want growlers of yazoo (go to the diner, not the beer section for growlers) |
