| Butters (150), Virginia | | November 1, 2008 I was kinda worried that this place would be a waste of my time, but it wasn’t. All the beers were crammed into a small corner of the store, but thankfully, a corner that received no sunlight. The did have a few rarities that I’ve yet to find elsewhere, as well as a selection of HUGE bottles (3L+). Not bad pricing-wise, but not great either. If you live in the area and don’t wanna go all the way to midtown, this is a decent place. But watch your step when you go there, twice I nearly tripped on their uneven flooring... | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | June 28, 2008 [ Updated July 3, 2008 ] Let me set the record straight. The previous rater must not visit other liquor stores in the city, because all of those beers are NOT EXCLUSIVE and are available at other stores. However, they have expanded their selection since my last visit. They carry the typical Belgians (Duvel, Corsendonk, Rochefort, etc.) and domestics from Stone, Schlafly, North Coast, Mendocino, Terrapin, Dogfish Head, Boulevard, etc. Prices are a tad higher than Midtown and Frugal. This is worth a stop if you are in the Belle Meade/ West Meade area. I applaud the store for carrying beer in a wine snob neighborhood. Extra points for using Ratebeer shelf tags for anything rated over 90. | leroyneiman (1), Nashville, Tennessee does not count - explanation | | June 23, 2008 This store has a great selection and the staff is both knowledgable and friendly. Every beer that I want, they have or can get for me in a day or two. I’m impressed with the exclusive beers that they have that no other store in the city has (Deus, Hitachino XH, Olah Dubbah 30 year, etc). This is a SERIOUS STORE!!! |
