3 reviews for AUS - Austin Bergstrom International Airport
| PorterPounder (180), Tallahassee, Florida | | October 11, 2007 You would think that a city like Austin that has the best beer scene in the state of Texas would have an airport that personifies this - sadly this is not the case. While there are great restaurants and live music playing - there is nary a drop of craft beer to be found. I can proudly say that I garnered two new ratings while traveling through here on a frequent basis back in 2004-05 - Ziegen Bock Light and Budweiser Select - first one to rate it mind you! | | fly (190), austin, Tejas, | | July 24, 2005 I’ve spilled more good beer than has ever been served here. As Joe said, unless you’re looking for a tick on Shiner Bock or other swill, that’s about the best you’ll do. Guinness, Bass and maybe another one or two round the bill. Have talked to Live Oak and they’ve made attempts to no avail to get beers in here. | | joet (43), Fulton, California | | July 23, 2005 My recommendation is to avoid drinking beer at the airport or discreetly BYOB. Rarely if ever anything of interest is available unless you haven’t had the local Shiner Bock as a novelty. |
