Great staff!!! I don’t brew (yet) but this must be Austin’s haven for local brewers. Very knowledgeable staff that genuinely get excited for people’s interest in beer. Used to go a few times a month for CO2 refills before I got really into beer and they were always nice and never pretentious. A great store!

This is definitely the best homebrew supply that I’ve seen. The selection is tremendous. They have pretty much any malt, hop or yeast you would need. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It can get a bit busy sometimes, especially on the weekends but it’s worth the wait.

Great shop here. I. too, live in the Dallas area and can actually get fresher ingredients/more selection from their web site. Ground shipping gets it here next day. Outstanding selection and their pre-formulated recipes (at least the two that I’ve tried) are terrific! The one time that I had to call them, they were very friendly and helpful and I wasn’t even a customer at the time. Their packaging is outstanding. All grains packed tightly to measure in separate bags, teh hops are vacuum packed in bags that are not transparent (the sort of mirror finish you see on antistatic bags electronic components are shipped in) Ice packagaed up with the yeast. It seems every precaution was taken! Competitively priced and flat shipping rate make this place my primary supplier for all things brewed.

Very friendly and helpful...I’m not a brewer, but they talked to me about my kegerator and offered advice and filled my CO2 tank for me.

Will quite often have hard to find hop strains and specialty malts.

Amazing brew shop. Way better than the brew shop in my area (Dallas). In addition to being able to pick out whatever you want, they have binders full of full extract, partial mash, and full mash recipies and clones, each with the price next to it. You select the recipe from there, and they’ll go grab it for you.
They also have a huge supply of free recipies that they’ll give to you to consider; I left the store with a White Labs yeast poster and about five reccomended recipies suited for my taste in brewing that are well laid out and extremely easy to follow - all for free. I’ll definately be putting my next order through them.

Best homebrew shop around...great website so you can get all the best ingredients mailed to your door. They have dozens if not hundreds of wine kits to choose from, too. Hops? Are you kidding? Probably the biggest selection available from pellet to leaf, too. Tons of yeast, White Labs and Wyeast plus some dry yeast. Check their honey selection if you like meads. Check out the recipes they have on the website, you will be amazed at how many clones you can make. New location, by the way, bigger and better.

ask for Charles unless he’s still of at Siebel - the man seems to enjoy beer for some VERY odd reason.
