Oh Showdown is a great place to hang out drink beer, play darts, pool, or fuse ball. Pretty good selection of beer, it’s not the best but the ones they choose to stock are good pick no doubt. | tangsting (1),

This is maybe my favorite bar in Austin. It doesn’t have the best selection, but it is a very nice selection. It doesn’t have the best bartenders, but they are very nice.
This place is quite seedy and just has a whole lot of CHARM and PERSONALITY....which is why I like it. The jukebox always has quirky, fun songs you have been wanting to hear for years. There’s a huge beer garden behind the bar that you can hang out at on a beautiful sunny day. They have pool and darts and foosball and pinball and video games. They also have horseshoes, but I’ve never seen anyone play.
They have some great beer prices, especially if you’re just looking to drink cheap and get drunk.

This place deserves to be in the running as much as Posse does. The beer selection has seen a decline over the years, but as in anything that is influenced by demand. Stake it out as YOUR place and they're sure to bring back more. Funky to the core. Former home of Raul's - Austin's premiere punk palace. Go drink a bit of history. |
